George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Hi Falling. Long time no speak!! I also got out of here some months ago with a little profit. Not patient enough it seems! Nothing new there. I was wondering whether or not you were still in here. I am still in FEVR after buying and selling to limit to a small loss (but now going well); also luckily got out of JE just in time. Only drink now, no food!!! All the Best.
Regards.
DK
Hi Simon, this certainly looks a bit steadier now and volumes seem to be up a little on the average. I thought that the update for Iterlak and Iterlak East areas was expected to be released in Q1 2019? If so, it could be a little while yet. Anyway, here's hoping that it is soon. I've been in here for a while and need a few pennies more rise to get back on an even keel! Still convinced that this will come good, even if it takes another month or 6. Regards,
DK
You're right regarding the info on the website Mark. I got the 9th for a Trading Announcement from the HL shares website Financial Diary (and here on LSE). HL info is usually pretty reliable, but it may be incorrect although it also shows that there was one last year on 11th January. I can't remember whether there was or not! Ah well, all sites appear to agree that Interims are 6th Feb!!! Regards,
DK
It certainly is good to see this rising again. Been here with a small investment for just over a year and (unfortunately) my average is still a little above the current share price. My limited reading of the charts and wider research suggests continued caution as there seems little logic or reason in either the rise or, particularly, the fall of this SP. I realise that this is the case for many on AIM, but my experience here is that JAY seems more susceptible than most to fairly random SP movement. Hopefully there is some substance behind this rise and it continues to be supported by better volume or (hopefully) some really pivotal news.
DK
Not sure really. Interims around the third week of March, but not expecting much before that. As you say, ticking up nicely and has been for a while. Cant find any news or info anywhere that would be making this happen. Will keep looking. All the Best DK
Hi Falling. I see that the same article is in the Daily Mail today. All good stuff and shows that GRG are on the ball and, as you say, quite clever. SP hovering around my original sell price, but will only sell if I need to release some dosh for other buys. I have done very well from FEVR over the years, so staying loyal at the moment. Not so with JE though; will be selling shortly, I think. Having quite a good run at the moment, so no complaints! Hope your investments are going well. All the Best DK
All very quiet on this BB. Don't understand why as this is turning into a very good investment, even if a bit risky (for me anyway). All Brokers positive, 880-1000 with Barclays being the most optimistic (11th Jan). Update due in early March, so expect a gentle rise until then, although charts are only just positive with no bull signs (IMO). Anyone else got any info/opinions? All the Best DK
Hi Falling. Can't match you on the food related banter, but I still have a slice of this. Remain confident that the recent volatility will subside and we will return to a steady-ish rise. Quite happy, not pied off at all, in fact. Fundamentals remain good and expansion of the business going well from the little bits of news that I can find. Doing OK with these, JE and FEVR; one long eating and drinking binge!. All the Best DK
Very stable sp here for around a month and very low volume for 6 weeks or so. Sitting on the 20 SMA and primed to rise on any positive news IMO. Still looks like a very sound company in which to be invested. Certainly easier on the nerves that some I have! I have seen no tips for this one in 2018 either; but as you say Otterman, maybe that is a good thing? All the Best. DK
Afternoon Falling. A bit disappointing that this one has fallen quite so far, but still confident that it will rise above 14 again at some stage in the near future; hopefully soon after tomorrow's update! Like you, I expect the Xmas period to have been good. Brokers still maintaining their position as far as I can see. I thought that it may only go to about 13.50 but got that wrong. However, still in profit so I might slice some off at some stage as I have a few others that I would like to buy in the near future (oily's!). All the Best. DK
AAS. A fair reply. We will have to agree to disagree regards Mr Vallance. Your yearning for hard facts regarding the company in which you are invested in (or in which you intend to invest) is, I am sure shared by many, including me. Unfortunately, other than audited financial reports and regulatory news, hard facts are almost impossible to come by. Everything you read during research regarding a particular company, including Broker reviews and press articles (experts??) are opinions based on the author's perception of the available facts, market sentiment, share behaviour (Charts, RSI, MACD etc.) and endless other pointers. The usefulness of such information is open to question and everyone has a different view. For me Walmsley is less than convincing as a CEO and I am uncertain as to whether the direction in which she has taken the Co. is correct (my perception/opinion based on her performance so far). Everyone has their own investment strategy and mine came into play when the sp fell to my tolerance level and other indicators (other opinions, chart analysis etc.) supported the sale of my shares. Perhaps I was lucky and it was probably rather glib of me to say that I saw the writing on the wall. But I did call it right on this occasion (unusually). Anyway, as I said before, good luck for 2018. For what it is worth (not facts) things seem to have settled down a little in the past 2-3 weeks with regards to sell/buy volumes and price volatility. IMO there are some signs that this one might be near the bottom, although only time will tell (could be an Xmas effect!!). I will continue to watch. DK
Hi Falling, Yes, its decision time! I missed the peak today as I wasn't able to pay attention until near the close, but no worries there. I feel that it might re-trace a little tomorrow, but I am strangely relaxed about this one, despite holding on for a higher price than I originally anticipated. A quick check around the Broker ratings shows a maximum forecast of 1405 and a slight reduction in overall "confidence" compared to 3 months ago. The Broker trend is towards neutral but no-one is in the sell band. A gander at the charts shows nothing but positive sentiments in my view. Unless any of the indicators change drastically in the New Year, I think that I will wait for the January 16th fourth quarter trading update before making a decision. I really cannot see this containing bad news, but there is always a risk attached to such opinions! The Derbyshire Retail park sounds great. A sausage roll and a pint while the wife does a bit of shopping would be just the ticket!! LOL. Best of luck with your decision. DK
AllAtSea. I suppose that this is now the 4th time you have posted this information? Unfortunately neither the credibility of a post, or its substance necessarily increases by repeated posting. Other than bland statements from the company and PC statements from the individual there is no evidence that Vallance's departure was amicable. As for a step-up, you clearly have no idea of the comparative remuneration for the two posts. You ask, "where did this come from"? It is my opinion. Presumably I am allowed to have one, even if it is somewhat more realistic and less optimistic than yours? Blind faith might suit you but I suspect that those who have seen their investment take a 20% hit in the last 7-9 months and may now receive a reduced divi might want something slightly more substantial on which to base their future decisions (by the way, I am not one of them as luckily I saw the writing on the wall). Anyway, good luck to you. I hope that you do well with this share and its dividend in 2018. I shall be watching to see what events transpire and then, no doubt give due consideration to re-investing if things improve. All the Best DK
Iselsf - Absolutely agree. Allatsea thinks that Vallance chose to leave and it was amicable. No idea what evidence he has for that view other than the standard leaving statement. I won’t be getting back in here anytime soon having been invested for some years up until a few months ago, despite the blind optimism of a few on this board. IMO, in the very least there needs to be a radical improvement in the communication skills of the Board, particularly the CEO. A bit of management and direction wouldn’t go amiss either. I hope I am wrong, but I see a long road ahead before a sustained rise in the sp. Apologies for being a bit downbeat at Christmas. DK
Hi Falling, Happy Christmas to you. Greggs in Salisbury was busy today both inside and outside. No free coffee but the sausage roll was good! Good to hear about Huddersfield outlet. Sp ticking along nicely towards my 14 ish target. Let’s hope it continues in 2018. All the Best DK
