Well, the last trade broke the trend of a steadily decreasing ask and caused the price to tick up so I suspect we will find a delayed sell popping up at some point.

In the time I have associated with 1onic (which is on and off probably about a couple of years) he has not given the impression that he is short on a share. Of course, I do not follow his postings on shares that I don't follow and do not know him personally so this may not be the case. As someone on ADVFN has professed to shorting I would point the finger in another direction.

I think the misunderstanding here is the nature of the 'short'. I believe that everybody is actually talking about the same thing ultimately i.e. that there is a large sell programme that is gradually worked. Once it is worked through the overall trade is published but in the meantime there is a significant excess of 'buys' over 'sells'. This is not uncommon and I am sure many of us have seen this in other companies as well. What this isn't is a 'naked short' but I don't really think that anyone is suggesting this.

LSE uses the uncrossing trade as it is a matched trade.

There is another interesting tweet this morning from Kristie Batten (no, I don't know her but she is apparently the editor of @MiningNewsNet):

It would make sense for Glencore to extend its influence in the sector. The most likely target in this scenario must surely be Largo given their relationship but any M&A in the sector would positively impact BMN.

You have to laugh. A one share auction 3% below the bid. It really must be a laugh a minute on the trading desks.

For me there are two potential 'game changers' in terms of operational activities. One is the Mokopane mining licence and the other a brownfield purchase (OK, let's be more specific - Vanchem). Either would have an immediate material impact on the share price but a Vanchem purchase would be my pick for impact.

There are other pieces of news that would also be impactful, in particular the commencement of a dividend.

News items like the commissioning of the VRFB for the Eskom trial I would see as being less impactful but still welcome.

Improvements to the Vametco production rate will take longer and do not change the game per se.

I notice that we have had more post deletions this morning. Whilst I was the butt of the bashing I don't see any particular reason why these should have been deleted. (I particularly liked the biblical reference!) This is a bulletin board after all and you should expect a little heat occasionally.

It has been some time since ARS reacted significantly to drill results at an existing project. BKZ caused a reaction because it was a new area. If they had a significant result below BKM indicating the existence of a porphyry then I suspect there would be a significant reaction once more. Equally if they started drilling at Baroi and came back with a great intersect. In the meantime we will have to wait for something else to give us a boost (e.g. BFS finally being produced).

Ammonium metavanadate has proved to be a leader on the way up and down in the recent past so it is encouraging to see that this is starting to rise strongly. A return to 2% daily increases (which this indicates for AMV) would provide a significant boost to the share price.

Indeed, he has now stated that he has shorted. Believe him or not, it makes little difference!

Normally I would agree 1onic but there is someone on ADVFN who indicated that he would short if the bid went to 33p. Of course I understand that he may be economical with the truth and these may just be sells (stop loss?) but it is at least something to be considered.

Yes, strange movements today again. As usual a lot of the trading is obfuscated so we won't see the true picture for some time.

There was another post just after the 14:01 post Worzel7. It was innocuous, something along the lines of 'people can keep talking it down but I will keep buying and holding' (please note that this is not the exact post!).

I don't quite understand why anyone would object to that post. I can't think that it broke the rules in any way.
