@Wasendo, The BOP working pressure, 5000 psi, I assume is the pressure its safety functions are activated.
Since the drilling mud is the first stage of controlling blow outs what pressure would the mud pump work at?
Would a 3000 psi mud pump be paired with a 5000 psi BOP, ?

Air liquid has under ground helium storage in Germany that holds up to 1 year of its sourcing as of 2016, Beaumonts is the largest in the World.. Not found anything to compare sizes..

I think Beaumonts 8 million barrels works out at about 45 1mmcf Helics containers

Linde can take plenty especially if they get exclusive rights to the third cavern under construction at Beaumont

Linde already uses underground caverns to store hydrogen, and claim their Helics containers can transport liquid helium for at least 40 days and, depending on operating conditions, even over 60 days. So shipping Rukwa to Texas is possible.

Gardner rate their Helix containers for 45 days without "refilling nitrogen", so I guess it would be possible to have a Helics service area at a port used for holding tanks while transferring between ships on a regular route, but with up to 60 days holding time suggested by Linde I doubt its needed..

A while back I said its odd that the onus is on He1 for say the MOT, and not the rig owner.. You don't hire a car without an MOT...
If its the same that leaves maybe 2 options I can imagine/guess at

He1 have hired the Rig, contract signed... but willing operator wants further assurance for some reason....

It will come out in the wash, hopefully this year..
But buying a rig before your first discovery, thats worth some thought

DM held back the rig details, if that is the one, just gave the location to ease the worry of 2 months shipping from Texas

And they also had their COS upgraded later which reinforces their selection

@DD13, Looked at the RNS and video again today, one clouds the other, as in the video shapes your perception...

Neither actually mention rig owners, and it has kind of puzzled me that a rig owner/operator would provide a rig that needs a MOT so to speak and the onus to be on the customer.....But I am not in the industry

Could be the rig operator has requested the rig is proved to be tip top to ensure they can meet their commitments, and don't get hit with penalties outside of their control.

Previously we were told of a containerized solution which suggested the need transport by ship
Then our engineer was traveling to Texas to personally inspect rigs
Finally we have an inspection company checking our rig in Tanzania, no mention of it recently arriving in country..
Again we are left guessing as to what happened to Texas..
