Here is some more speculation on the Predator Rig..
It was suggested the rig may be owned by a British Geothermal company with a project in Ethiopia, not sure how they were able to make the match..
You can see a predator rig in the photo, but it could be any rig..

5017 hours just like AP's link, paintwork looks good all round, truck, pumps.

But looks like that company is still planning its exploration drilling phase ???

I never bought that story, and it was originally an idea, then a carrot.
Maybe they tested the idea, never worked, and just let idea simmer in people minds,

But the identified rig is an option

I could make a guess based on the Predator Rig, which is just a rumor, that the visit to Texas was to check out the 2 field ready rigs up for sale at 1/2 the price of the east african rig.. So the EA rig is top dog. But we were given the 19 ISO container story..
Then why is it 2x the price when he suggests so much work, maybe he was surmising worst case, who knows

We have not been provided with any real detail,
There is no clear picture of the 3rd party activities/work program.
We could be waiting on a rig report before a decision on the rig is made, as he said a rig has been identified..
But gives the impression they are getting on with preparations, "we are going to....."

@Patshare, fingers crossed they all come good..
Its a difficult one at the moment, with DM being cagey about the rig, location, yard(sales or workshop)and 3rd party guys..
He chuckles when he talks about stripping and rebuilding, kind of trivialising the task

@legalwolf, could be two drills, both Tai.
Lake bed and Karoo, maybe into the basement since 1300m was mentioned, and a diagram of Tai puts 1300m into the basement..
Could move 25 paces from Tai-1 in the right direction this time ;)
They have also reduced the size of Tai to 6km^2,

@Legalwolf, all we know is they are returning to the Tai prospect, they also said earlier there was something adjacent to Tai-1/1.25.. If so confident about locations then there is nothing to stop them preparing pads in advance though..

Now noble has said within their own announcement(extra info) that He1 are re-drilling the Tai well, but how they would know that.. probably just loose wording

@IG I guess the spacing of the 2D lines also makes a big difference, just one line over a prospect, or multiple as with Tai.
I think the original 2D around Mbuni(I think) produced contour lines that converged to a point, so likely some sort of error..

@DD13, Depends on what the background level was
Think they measure in parts per million, just like Micro-grams 0.000,001
They said 22,084ppm is approx 2.2%, so 10,000 ppm is 1%. 1000ppm 0.1%.
So if background level was 10ppm, then x1000 thats 1% helium

Measurements in 1981 of the helium content of the Earth's lower atmosphere have given a value of 5.222 ± 0.017 ppm by volume..
So if the background level was 5ppm, then thats 5000ppm 0.5%

26th May interview DM suggested it would be a few weeks before Team X arrives on location,
But he said in 1st June interview He1 had sent Team X..
So fingers crossed they are there, and check the oil before starting the engine...

DM states our rig is in East Africa,
The rig for sale is in Tanzania
So interested how you came up with Cluff ?
