I think that side-track option offers a number of benefits, especially reading how that was the difference between a discovery or not at Abigail, in that case allowing a second well..

Okay, so we have the discovery(2019), now we are drilling an appraisal well which I assume can support logging and surveying of the formation, provide information towards future production that will firm up the discovery.
They also possibly have the option to drill a second directional well, the geological side-track which I assume is also for appraisal?
Being directional this must have the ability to move further into the formation?

In the announcements it mentions on success, not shows or discovery.
I have little experience, but I read that there is the possibility to redirect the drill if they are a little out..

I have noticed the way the media/Analyst suddenly change outlooks, usually when you look at a stock thinking thats the highest/lowest its been for while, it seems the trend direction follows which half of the narrative that suits them, although all factors are in play.

Woke up to radio news saying mortgages being taken off the shelves after gov budget, similar heading in written article only for it to explain the changes are in advance of the expected interest rate hikes which was always coming. So some fixed rate and fee based products have been removed for now...
Interest rates have to go up, because they will need to lower them to aid coming out of recession, and you cant do that if they a low..
