I am not sure it should be called investing if its on AIM, as holding tends to cost you, thats my experience..
AIMs where companies come to raise money, the big guns supply the funds for discounted shares, that they sell to us at a premium to what they paid for a slice of our cake, they walk away, while we paid extra to carry the risk.. then it repeats...
Take a look at those spuds, the general pattern seems to be, get in fairly early, but after any fund raise, then you need to watch for the traders leaving the party, often nearing/before drilling starts...but not always.. then there are the risks that come before drilling, access, permits, getting a rig, drilling bits.... Still risky.. but its free to follow a few..
