lol, I have bought the highest of the year, end of a strong run, going against what I believed, after listening to the media's analysts.. Only for the story to change to what I thought the next day....
Obviously they were pushing the positives giving their companies time to off load before the news changed...

Safer to take your money for another day.. ADV springs to mind..

It does'nt seem to be an earlier order given the time stamp, so if it was a sell at 16:30, it would allow the price to rise tomorrow, the higher the more commission..

Anybodies guess, unless you have layer 2 ??

88e, another day with a tight spread, trading around 0.6p for most of it, another big trade printed after the bell, 12.5m,
Until then volume was 50.8m, so added another 25%....
On the Mid too, so left guessing at what it is ????

If it was placed early in the day?
If it was a buy at 0.6, I guess they would want to keep the bids low until it was filled, but bids were as close to 0.6 as you could get....
If a sell. the higher the price the better, and price did'nt rise,,

A late sell maybe, which means the price can rise tomorrow, or not fall until its been bought up...
Unless its one book maker, and the rest will sell lower if its suites

I guess layer two would be handy, to see the book in this instance

Its nicely priced on the Mid.
If we sold large we would have to take a little less, and if we bought large pay a little extra..
But not this guy... could it be between brokers.. ?

looks like I got the lowest price of the day and sold it for £27, So while being chuffed at the speed of the trade, maybe I should have held as it was way below..and would have earned an extra £50 on close ....

@KevR, it looks to happen around where the price moves, and maybe where the displayed Bid/Asks are being paid along with a very tight spread..
And to catch it, slow trading,

I guess its the time where all the MMs books participating in that stock are not in sink with each other, where one has sold all so is offering a better price, while another still has some at an earlier price.. So that time the algo of one MM needs a few more trades to adjust its pricing..

I have thought about keeping shares so can check the bids, you need to keep more than the costs to trade, so on AIM thats just your brokers commission..
But you could always ask on the BB if you cant work it out from the listed trades.

My platform wont let you get a price for a trade below the cost to sell..

Today, there has been a noticeable difference between sell quotes for 500k and 2M, a few hundred pounds, well worth splitting.. at other times in the day no difference.

I am trying to identify on the graph the periods where Bid was above ask, well something to give a hint

What I see is very tight spread, then a short dip, >with out of place trades <, followed by negligible looking step down with a tight spread..

And Also a number of trades taking lowest bid before...

Seeing the Bid hold above the Ask in the morning, I gave it a go..
Luckily the trades were coming in slow...

I see I can have multiple screens open, by copy and pasting the account home page URL into another window.
Then if you open up the dealing page, they get assigned different process identifiers appended to the URL.
But as the markets closed I check the next step....
I guess, at least as long as you dont have two quotes counting down at the same time you could have them set up ready to buy then sell without navigating from buy to sell screens...
But having different indentifiers you may be able to have two quotes counting down...
So if Bid is above Ask, have them both counting down.. ??

Plus account will show the trade as a loss, either way..

On that I should have got a quote for a larger amount

£22 to my broker, £27 for me, and I bet the MM made just as much, at least the tax man

Well earlier I said the MM corrected the Bid being above the Ask within a minute of it being posted this morning..
thinking they were watching the BB.....

I guess it was a PI reading the BB quickly taking up the MMs prices...

Might be an advantage of being able to see the order book..

I think your going to be rewarded, with at least a nice gap up on news, or if held longer, a no news rise later in the year

The 500k was Market Size, I guess different brokers have different prices..
Looks like there was just 1 lot of 500K at 0.586, another at 0.598, and my buy 0.576..if thats how it works?

I think I was lucky, seeing how close other trades were to mine
