I sold on Friday, near high on the day 177p, as 168p is what you get for every 3 shares, then they take one off you( 3 for 2), so effectively they are paying 168p for your share.. Then thought they are pumping it as buyers now are seeing the divi ratio reduce

I checked RNS, not in, then looked away , and there it was...nearly missed it..

Interesting comments by LOTM on CNE, talk of a short squeeze,

Shorts under pressure from a rising price, and a share buy back about to resume after consolidation..

Also if the price remains above the inflection point 168p, the price should open higher on consolidation..

But effectively your only getting 168p for the share you lose in consolidation, so will more people sell as the price increases above 180p

Also If your able to manipulate the share price around both sides of the inflection point its a win win. Especially if one loaded up heading towards the 150p low, and then pushed the share price to near 180p on consolidation.. An increase return from the divi, and increase in price post consolidation(at least on paper).. Thats seems to be whats happening, but not sure how much higher it can go ..

But we can only guess, ...

Whats the notification period for changes in a short position ?

The higher the price above the inflection point will add more pressure on the shorts post consolidation...
