Heron-1 has been drilled to a total depth of 2960 metres with the top Lower Tsagaantsav reservoir, the primary target for the well, encountered at 2803 metres, 5 metres shallower than the pre-drill prognosis. The formation drilled from 2803 to 2880 metres was predominantly sandstone interbedded with shales and siltstones. Oil and gas shows were recorded

Wireline logs have been acquired and analysis of these data supports the interpretation of a 77 metre gross interval of potential oil reservoir. Within this interval the logs also define three zones with a total gross thickness of 22 metres (14 metres net) exhibiting better porosity and permeability characteristics than is generally seen within the Lower Tsagaantsav at this depth including in the nearby wells in the T19-46 oil field in Block XIX. ???

Heron 1 flowed the 12 metre interval from +2,834+ metres in the upper portion of the Lower Tsagaantsav Formation. The well flowed at an average rate of 200 bopd with a well head flowing pressure of 250 psi, (should be shutting pressure results to follow RNS (24th Oct '19)

Mmmm, Heron flowed an average 200bopd, so the 300bopd has to be an estimate through stimulation. They hydraulically stimulated the well during this phase.. but only took pressure readings to confirm successful operation.. Its AIM a successful operation does'nt mean the expected improvement,, and we know from He1 derived flow rates can be bull.. But we know they can give an estimate, and they did'nt hint of an improvement

You have Matd in meetings with Gov, discussing the need to sort permits in order for them to progress so they can supply the oil refinery being built.. Makes it sound like Heron is a major discovery, yet the price is heading for rock bottom..

The costs of the licences are in an early doc, I can't remember the details of the rent, costly though especially compared to Kats Lithium licence, must be in the latest financials . I seem to recall the surrender of just a few amounted to millions on the books. They have so many licences I can't imagine them being drilled in my life time..

But I doubt they will see substantial revenue any time soon as July the plant design and costs were still being considered.. Blues other project Voyager is supposed to be producing this year but I don't see mention of it in there July activities update ?
