Lights on? I assume there were lights on, but no hot water, so power on. not fuse blown..

If its a condensing boiler there is a drip/overflow/blowout pipe going outside which must be clear, could be blocked, sealed by certain insects..like leaf wasps, they can plug it, probably not this time of year though.

On startup..
If its a combi boiler the exhaust fan must run before its allowed to ignite the flame.
If the fan runs it must operate a vacuum switch which is connected by an air pipe to the fan, and then to atmosphere in the chamber.
If either of these fails you wont have ignition, the fan might run to slow, or not at all, the switch may have failed, or the piping connecting it..the switches wear so the initial firing of the boiler can trip the switch off when the pressure changes in the combustion chamber..
There will probably be an exhaust/flue warning light flashing/on if these are the issue..
You will be able to hear the fan, and possibly the switch clicking..
Did the boiler run when the engineer had the covers off?

The flue also needs to be clear, and seals good.

H&P have stuck with $250/mcf, using DMs $375/mcf the risked NAV is closer to 36p, unrisked £2.11p, plus HP say they have doubled the CoS to 20%(was 10-14%),.. I hope HE1 have doubled their CoS too
Looking at descriptions of CoS, I dont think the can give much higher than 20% as its in an unproven area,

The amount of times I have requested an engineer to site to find the cleaners had unplugged something :)

Liquids and gases are called fluids because they can be made to flow, or move.

Drilling muds can be formulated to keep fluids from entering the bore hole using Hydrostatic pressure
and can plaster/cake the bore walls sealing permeable formations, especially with the aid of additives such as bentonite..

I like a little engineering,
I expect there are few like me invested in the unkown and so post anything that might be off interest,
plus I probably have more free time than most..
An important piece to remember is "bridge plug", thats what DM said was going to be used to seal the exploration well and allow the well to be accessed again..
I had read that wells are plugged and abandoned,,so would have been panic selling just seeing the word bridge..

The Tech article was just to add to the post about the pad and conductor, and not to show the exact methods that He1 are going to use, as I dont believe its been revealed yet..
But I imagine, if casing is done during exploration drilling, the bore hole walls could be cased the entire depths of the targets, so sealing them. Then the casing can be perforated about the targets to allow the gas to be extracted as/when required.
But I dont really know , there seems to be plenty of drilling options, so it would be good for some input from a knowledgeable poster...

Some Brain Storming..
The gas in the ground is mainly Nitrogen, sure I read its the carrier gas, so I assume they could be bound, so the seals needs to stop Nitrogen more than helium. So maybe not the same issue as stopping liquid helium, warming, and expanding in a tanker and pushing the gaseous helium out to atmosphere.

And I guess part of the leaky issue is related to the gas warming, expansion and pressure changes, so once the well head is diverting the gas to the plant it is going to take the route of least resistance which is along the pipe and not so much through it walls. And its mainly nitrogen not pure helium..
Just guessing

They can seal hard drives which are probably still compact in size, with a comparatively thin casings so I guess they can seal a big junky well head
