RE: Tai Seismic Section21 May 2021 01:13
@SeisPro
I looked up Bentonite clay after it was mentioned, saturated it is a barrier to Nitrogen our carrier gas, its also used for carbon capture, lots of things really. I should have asked you, it took a while before I found the right search terms..
Originally SRK's analysis for Tai had targets in the Upper lake bed, Lower lake bed and Red Sandstone, so will be interesting to see what the drill shows..
I have another observation which I find interesting, because I dont understand the difference I see, especially when both areas are traps, so I would expect them to look the same.
The Dip line seismic section slide, with fault lines added, and the penciled in red,yellow, and blue lines highlighting the down thrown layers, before DM adds the blue shading over the targets.
Where the upper target is situated I notice the red, black and white lines are faded.
Where the lower target is, these lines are prominent.
So is there any significance to the clarity of these line and the traps?
I expect possibly not, so the trap locations are based on the shift in layers along the fault line which is very prominent on the left side?.
Depending on the answers, I have another question about that spot under the blue line which reminds me of that trap area below the red line, more than below the yellow line :)
