I wouldn't think so, caml loosely follows base metal I guess, stockopedia following quite low, and prob fewer read their articles.. If someone like Simon Thompson of ic tipped these they'd move, he can move small caps quite easily

Wow nice rise this morning, still holding from a good ole low price, however gosh they're well down on the spring summer highs... May well recoup the drawdown

I always feel like caml is the share that goes nowhere... Should be higher than it is.. From a share price point of view sasa was a flop, its never regained the highs before the acquisition, share dilloution aside. But still it seems well managed... Hopefully next acquisition won't be viewed as a flop

Div looks well covered however, so upside may be higher than the down side

Dividend rate and price action over past few years suggests either a dividend cut, or a potential upwards re rating of the shares.... Not sure which. But bought a small amount today

May double from here, at least hoping so

i heard a fund manager on a podcast (money week) saying that these pay a9% dividend at the moment, from what i have read here this is not right?? how strange

As many might agree bp are cheap and could stay cheap for a while. Just noted on my stockopedia account Blackrock sold over a billion shares that they hold, that must be keeping the market down.. These trends are likely continue. Not necessarily good news for the share price but good news for those looking to buy....

You could say if they keep up proposed buybacks you are getting 9% share holder yield 4.5% from the div and the rest from the share buyback, reasonable return in this environment, kinda hedges your domestic fuel purchases too, to a slight degree

There There must be alot of pd off people though, most folk over the past two decades have had to buy at a sp over twenty quid, divs received aside... Will take a long time for them to get back above water... Not complaining too much myself, as I'm heavy into oil stocks, fortunate to top up BP at 2.00, don't think rdsb owes me much either...

I agree with you in the main there, I'm comparing pre pandemic div to current div. Think most mine bought pre covid so that's the reference I used.... In fairness pre covid purchase for me is prob decades ago, so my yield is likely still to be high... Atb but still would be nice if div doubled....

Think I found it, pre pandemic div 47c next div possibly 24c so still roughly pre pandemic yield, however there will be additional buy back yield... Guess BP payout slightly higher..

Generally I hate buybacks unless the shares are under valued, which in this case they are. Often though companies buy back shares when they are grossly over valued, destroying cash and value... Overall may prefer divs, so I can deploy cash where wish... But happy with BP buybacks ooo a good use of cash
