The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Thanks for keeping up the posting everyone. It makes for an interesting read! My sense here is that COPL is going to return as a very different company. Arthur has achieved something very worthwhile here and I am sure that he wants to be known for his deal making skills and for running a successful US based operation. All of these exercises will be based on the returning company being properly structured and as attractive as possible to investors. Happy to wait while the many pieces are slotted into place. Happy to wait until June anyway lol!!!!
Hello everyone :-) It's been a while! I've been reading the research with interest but haven't had much to add. Yes this could be a perfect storm but I feel very confident that Wyoming has got a great deal further upside (and we have the funds to develop!) and Nigeria looks increasingly likely to happen. Throw in some healthy sentiment and we could hit 5p easy. Very exciting and I am sure Arthur will want this new entity to take off like a rocket!
Well folks, very interesting reading all the possible outcomes here. My hopes are that we will indeed get good news on Nigeria. If that happens and we get some dates/estimates of drilling then who knows what will happen when we relist? Realistically at that point we are a 500m company.
I don't want to get my hopes up too much though. 1-1.5p is still very good and makes a big difference to the future for my family.
That steak dinner is still on offer Art if you can manage to get Nigeria sorted :-) Being honest you deserve it anyway for what you have achieved so far.
GLA!
If he wants to wait 6 months to get the production ramped up before the rebasing of the company valuation I don't mind. As Am alluded to in the interview, being relisted gives a massive opportunity to value the company properly, free of trading. The new prospectus will allow large funds to decide are we going to take a chunk at the relisting value. This is a superb opportunity to maximise growth and impact of the relisting. Not to be rushed. Only my opinion mind you.
I would much prefer that we relist with a strong production schedule, plans for further growth and some progress in Nigeria which I feel is coming. I would rather open at 2p in May than 1p next week. That prospectus is an important document I would imagine as the funds come sniffing and better to have actual figures than estimates.
