RE: Basu dissed shareholders9 May 2024 08:50
As a shareholder High-Roller you could write to the Chairman and ask him why you should have faith in the CEO and the c.£3m he has been paid for effectively diluting and devaluing the company over the last 10 years. I'd be very interested in his response but I'm sure he would be looking to the future rather than the past.
I first invested here at around 70p back in 2013. I have been here for over 10 years, I have traded in and out and I am probably down £20k. Personally I blame the investment bank that prepared the prospectus and the float price, I blame myself for believing the hype, I blame Basu for running with it all these years and not saying at the beginning it was going to be tough to deliver to expectations. So, I topped up base on Basu's rose tinted view of the world and have been stung for several rights issues on the back of 'ramping up production', 'needing scale to crack markets'.
However, I look at the products now, I look at the distribution now and I look at the improving revenues and finally some focus on cost management and I see an opportunity again.
The price has done what I, and probably most of us expected, and has fallen back from the 7.5-8p spike on the back of the recent RNS, so I am buying now, not because of the past but because of the future opportunity.
