I think once we start getting to the first rounds of q4 /q1 results from airlines, we will soon get a very good idea of the ball park to where we're heading and appropriate broker rating. As we take steps moving out of covid as a pandemic and being treated as an endemic and towards spring, should see a re-rate in SP hopefully!! GL All!!

I think if Covid proves with the Onicron variant that this is the end and we can get back to living with covid and normal life resumes, then a certainly more positive narrative. Risk hopefully gone for need for future rights issue too. No doubt plenty of profit taking ahead but hoping up past 200 mark in the coming year. Not sure we will get to 280+, it all depends on Covid and people's appetite to travel. GL All, excited to remain invested here!!

That's where I'm thinking too, if can settle in 150s and then a great platform to launch to 180s.

I'm here and new to this stock, looks like a good rise today. GL with your investment, longterm here a very good company and should double if not triple in price over next 4 - 5 years I would have thought.

I see Lufthansa up 7% today, bodes well tomorrow for IAG hopefully.

Thanks for posting Mary, I'm certainly optimistic on IAG this year. Hopefully we come out of the Covid pandemic and we see the SP rise here.

I'm in both IAG and RR, as the pandemic subsides I see both of these rising nicely, holding for the long term, confident of a decent recovery!! HAPPY NEW year all!!

Jtan - My thoughts too, if this drops down to 120s will buy back again. Likely to be lockdown restrictions but I would say early New Year.

Sold a tranche at 134, if there is a UK lockdown can see these dropping back a little, it will be interesting to see and hopefully opportunity for a bit of day trading. GL All

No more dry powder from me, reading latest news it suggests in UK Omicron variant will reach the peak quickly but also reduce fast too, as more people getting their boosters. Interestingly the base here in SP around 125 mark, assuming the medics are right and Omicron less severe, then the cases should start to drop significantly into the early part of Jan and more people be confident about travelling. Hopefully then the narrative has become more positive and in turn we see an up tick in SP as we see light ahead of the tunnel. GL All!!

Interesting update today in the RNS, I personally think a tactic to come back to the table with a lower offer / more favourable terms in regards IAG having to offer up a number of slot concessions. We will see what pans out but don't be suprised if this isn't the last of this story!!

I've averaged down from 220 to 164, long term hold for me. Very confident of a decent recovery, patience required though and I need to take my own advice here too. GL All!!

A very good average, good luck, still choppy waters but seems to be good support at 130. I purchased two tranches back earlier at 131.

@JTan - I know SP all over the place I'm certainly hoping we have reached the bottom now and start to progress back north as narrative turns more positive on Omicron, hopefully!!!

Good news as costs slashed setting up a subsidiary. Employees will be on less compared to BA mainline and aircraft return to Gatwick so no overnight stays, again reducing cost from what I read. This will allow BA to compete more directly with likes of Easyjet, BA brand still there but slashing costs should at last make LGW a profitable operation.

I've kept an investment in here will see what happens in the New Year. Hopefully the right decision.

If the narrative is confirmed to be true with Omicron being less severe than Covid, surely that will result in fewer people in hospital in is it more they will still be hospitalised but overall they won't get as ill compared with getting delta variant?
