@Robbren58 I agree, hopefully will see solid demand from these routes and as B777CAPTAIN has mentioned in the past, with the shortage of aircraft but also Ryanair will have an increasing aging fleet, WIZZ should start to have the upper hand. I've loaded up on shares here, I did well on IAG but now taken profit there and added here further on recent dips. The SP here is still cheap, in the months ahead we should start to see these new routes pay dividend. Unfortunately, it looks like that the wars will continue on for now, otherwise would have been a far greater rise in my opinion to the SP. Nevertheless we will all do alright being invested here. Just need that annoying inflation to come down!! GLA!!

I can see WIZZ back to being extremely profitable when there fully flying in terms of having all their aircraft back in the air! Going to be interesting times ahead. GLA!

@KPA1 - If both the Ukrainian wars and Israel get settled and engine issues resolved, I believe we will be heading a lot higher than £40, it will take a few years but I remain confident in 5 years time, investors here will do rather well in my opinion! Promising news from the talks in Washington but a long way to go still, hopefully by the signs good progress made and setup for a Putin and Zelensky showdown.

I've topped up at 13.87, my gut feel momentum is finally towards peace!! Takes my average to £23.02, slightly higher than I would have liked but feel this will do very well!! GLA!!

I think if it's true on the reports that Putin has offered to accept a NATO like protection similar to article 5 and then Ukraine may decide that is enough to agree to give Putin what he wants and end the war, the SP here will start to move up rather quickly. A lot depends on what comes out of the talks in Washington tomorrow, but unprecedented to see so many European leaders clearing their diaries and travelling to Washington tomorrow. If the meetings go well between Europe and US and looks like finally we are on the path to halting the fighting, we could be seeing a lot higher than £15 in my opinion, perhaps towards the £20 mark, but not necessarily this week! I would say if positive messages out of Washington tomorrow looking at £16 - £18 by end of this week, but all depends on the messaging. WIZZ can move quickly as I have said in the past, (not ramping!!) but from experience so there is no reason to think that especially if it genuinely looks like at last on the road to piece, the markets will price in a step closer to getting going back in Ukraine market and the SP will soar! Going to be an interesting week, one thing is for sure, if it wasn't for the actions of Europe going to the US tomorrow, I feel we would have been heading downwards, but again just my opinion. GLA!!

Despite the blow of failing to secure the ceasefire it wanted, Europe’s catch up strategy is in full swing.

European leaders are trying to show Donald Trump they are crucial to the peace deal he craves.

After Washington initially ruled out the bloc’s involvement in its efforts to stop the war, it seems they will finally be represented as they “support” President Zelensky.

As for Ukraine’s leader, it’s a chance to make up for his disastrous last visit to the White House, where he had a now infamous verbal dust up with Donald Trump.

Europe has had to support the US President’s decision to bypass a ceasefire, will they also try to convince him to get tougher with Vladimir Putin?

Macron will travel to US on

Hi All, very disappointing no progress from the talks in Alaska, not that surprising I guess, I was hoping like many for this dreadful war to end. Any thoughts on the SP next week? Do you think result already priced in or we will drop back a bit? I may go for a further top up here if we were to drop back to the 1200s. GLA

Any sign of positivity as the outcome of these talks and steps towards peace, the SP will fly here and alot of other travel stocks no doubt!! GLA, so far my purchase this morning holding up well.

Hopefully we WIZZ up today, I had a cheeky top up yesterday at 1340, more than I wanted but not sure how things are going to go in Alaska, got some funds ready also incase the SP drops on Monday if talks don't go great so covered from both sides. Either way, long term here, holders will do well! GLA!!

Surely for even PUTIN, there comes a time when he will have enough of the war!! Hoping all parties grasp the opportunity to secure a hstoric peace for the sake of the people of Ukraine!!

Hopefully an up day today! News yesterday that China and America have further extended their tariffs talk for another 90 days and hopefully moving towards the peace talks in Alaska still happening on Friday!! If we continue to see shorts get reduced I'm hoping for a good rebound in SP!! GLA!!

In terms of sale and leaseback, I would hope that the likes of WIZZ get huge discount when they purchase from Airbus in large orders, they then undertake a sale and lease back transaction and hopefully make good profit on each airframe they undertake a sale and lease back on.

I'm 51 myself and hoping to retire at 57, (maybe semi retire I will still be busy pottering) I firmly believe WIZZ will do the business, hoping for a good boost to SP here on Monday open with details of meeting confirmed between Putin and Trump in Alaska next Friday. Longer term I have no doubt that the SPll get back to previous levels, it will take a few years, I remain confident as long as no new black swan events, then hopefully back over the £40+ mark!! GLA exciting times ahead here!!

You may be right Feach but surely at some stage Putin will look for a way out, it's all about face and Trump hasn't ended the war in 24 hours. Putin has taken a good chunk of Ukraine as it is so he may well decide this is enough of a victory together with pressure from India with new sanctions applied to them. We will see what happens.

Hopefully a positive move towards peace!!
