From big Pharma's point of view that's true DTW, but from AS's (certainly ours) surely the opposite would be true; shout about AVA6K from the roof tops and get as many interested as possible. AS will have a preference but would he let a favourite have the division for a knockdown price?

Informally, yesterday, at 8am.

We announced to my daughter ‘s NHS physio that the illness she is carrying is not Covid (“we’ve done a test”) and physio could proceed. They still all wear masks down there too.

I struggle to see the market for the drink spike test, unless they are being bought by law enforcement agencies. Who would test a drink with a test that costs more than the drink? And if someone's drunk the drink already and feel ill then they are probably not in a fit state to get out the test kit.

On the other hand a lymes disease self test would be very handy.

PK data will have to be garnered from biopsy material, I think. And we are talking of near to end of life patients who've been generously willing to take part in trials who may have, at the back of their mind, the thought that AVA6k will help them live longer themselves. They must have agreed for samples to be taken in due course in order to get onto the trial.

If AVA6k did happen to work very well – extraordinarily well – even with the people on the trial, then the very success of the drug would inevitably delay the actual news arrival. (What better reason could there be for late news.)

Is that about it? I'm sure this will have been discussed but I've forgotten the answer.

Rd, I can scarcely imagine being stranded at the start of lockdown. A teacher of ours was stranded in the Maldives and I recall Brits being stuck in Peru without hope of help.

HE is likely to be in the ground. Whether DM finds it in time is a gamble we are all taking. So long as you are comfortable with your decisions and the possible outcomes, who is anyone to tell you what to do. It will be your fortune – or your misfortune – not theirs.

Cheers Rd, I wish you the best of luck. Don't take too many risks though. Don't be afraid to preserve a little of your capital if / when the share price goes up. I have not done that myself when I've been given that chance and I'd be better off now if I had.

Rd, you do not sound like you can afford to lose money on the stock market. I admire your willingness to try to improve your financial position but you are gambling with HE1. It may work out but it may not.

Also, I am sure there are plenty of very pleasant and honest Arabian people who would not 'rip off' anyone. The problem with airlines and fares is not to do with the religion of the people in charge.

I do hope your 'gamble' will pay off but would you be financially broken if it doesn't? You have a night to sleep on it anyway.

I have 95% of my PF with HL but I opened a 212 account and have some of my HE1 in there.

Trading 212 work completely differently to HL (and I much prefer HL for that reason) in that 212 take ages for the purchase to take place and it happens in dribs and drabs, as they manage to pick up shares at the price you've specified you're willing to pay. I'm really not sure what happens in a situation where the price is moving quickly. I guess you would not get your shares if the price were moving up.

With HL of course, you just get a few seconds to confirm your buy (or sell) at the price they offer. It's less frustrating but more expensive.

In fact I think a poster's record is of interest ( certainly is to me ); best to know people's strengths and weaknesses.
