Chruiis, I think it's a sign that stuff (probably interesting stuff) is happening behind the scenes. The regular stream on news seems to have faltered somewhat with the arrival of Ascot but maybe that's no bad thing.

So, to summarise the feedback from my thread 'Risk' about potential threats to XTR, it seems there is very little other than black swan events. There was a suggestion that potentially AA would not be interested and we would spend more time and money defining the resource but even then some could see this as an eventual positive as long as dilution is limited or not involved at all.
But, I think AA would jump at it if that's what CB wants. But there are other possibly better situated local miners who could well offer more, so don't really see this as a risk.

Don't forget Helium 3, which potentially has use as a fuel for nuclear fusion. The moon's crust is apparently rich in the stuff.

MetalHead, I think boards can get a little insular and newcomers can often appear to be trying to get away with not 'doing their homework' - I hadn't done the hard miles! I'm happy to do my homework but it helps if their are some pointers to avoid wasting time. I have too much tied up here to spend additional funds on UFO at this time but I'm keeping my eye on that board especially if I can find some more funds.

Hi Metal, good to see you here!
I realise those are potential risks but I can't see that happening. I think most XTR shareholders would like to get AA out of the way as something of a bidding war could start. Plus, if Africa is generating cash, proving up BR as a group of porphyries would not cause dilution. Something of a win/win, it would just take longer.
As I said earlier today. I'd be happy to wait a little longer if it means proving up a bigger resource.

If I understand your thoughts correctly, I don't think AA could put a hold on the opening up of the asset to other miners just because Racecourse missed the 2MT mark. If it did not make 2MT then AA would not even have first dibs!

Jezz, likewise I'm open to some delay if it means realising the potential of Ascot. The sp would reflect this to some degree so it's not like we are on a never-ending promise.

A short while ago I was on the Alien metals (UFO) board as I have some legacy shares there from when the company was known as Arian Silver. Basically I had seen some good news with great grades being reported for silver and iron ore and asked some questions which were interpreted by some as me being a troll. Interestingly a poster there is also a poster here and I wont use his name but he had some interesting input but the thing I found surprising was that he considered that the risk level associated with XTR was greater than with UFO. I didn't want to pursue the matter as some posters didn't appreciate non UFO discussion. But I thought I'd bring the question here. My view of XTR is that it is one of the most 'risk off' investments I've ever made and compared to UFO which is currently an explorer looks very secure.
With XTR the situation is currently:
Big resource
Great location
Great mineral with great future
Company has no debt.
Company has income which should increase in time.

The question is: where are the potential trap doors?
Everybody could lose interest in Cu !
Australia could nationalise the mining industry or raise taxes !
CB (bless his cotton socks) could walk under a bus - but even then there must be succession plans in place.
With African income I can't see dilution being a 'big' factor.
Some board corruption issue we are all blind to - (a black swan event)!
Earth gets struck by an asteroid (another black swan)!
So, are there any risk factors that I'm missing?
I'd be interested in the thought of other XTR shareholders about any risks I'm missing that may falsely make me think that XTR is a 'relatively safe' investment.

Delcac, Hole 14 was reported on the 2nd Sept. So the timeline works....

Delcac, I think I may also have lost the plot but if memory serve me right CB bought his last batch of shares around the time hole 14 was drilled yet the assay results have yet to be published. Intriguing!

To Hydrogen I'd say that I failed to act as my legacy Arian shares were not worth trading but they did allow me to keep an eye on what was happening here and who knows, I may get back in (above and beyond my current minor holding).
Metalhead25: your comparison between UFO & XTR was interesting although I don't understand your last para. XTR do not want to get to production. They want to sell this summer. Hence I see UFO as a longer term potential investment albeit, if things go well, they could be a better investment.
Apologies for mentioning XTR yet again as I know some do not like their echo chamber being invaded. Personally I find cross-talk about companies on these sites really useful as they can draw ones attention to unknown possibilities.

That's my take on the meaning of his words. merely that Ascot has more gold than Racecourse.

Dipp666, I was unaware I had 'promoted' the company that shall not be named for fear of being accused of ramping. Was unaware I had posted on this board for many a year so I think you're pushing the point a tad. As for why would anybody listen to me, well I was asking to do the listening, not for others to listen to me.
After having lost a shed load of money one tends to stay away from the thing that burnt one's fingers ! I have for many years been a fan of silver (have some physical at home) and left my Arian/Alien shares festering at the bottom of my portfolio. It's only the good results that made me look again but again my fear is how will this be monetarized.
And in response to Smiller saying that Arian were not close to mining, I can assure you we shareholders got lots of nice photos of the crew painting all of the equipment in sparkling pastel colours. Just when they were investing in more exploration they seem to have forgotten to pay the monthly mortgage!
Lastly, thanks Dip66 for the links (where to look for more focused info) and I am not a fan of Chris2 who is clearly here just to wind people up.
