Mmm no hint of any whispers with this share, looks like the imminent deal talk was a a little bit of getting carried away by some.

I think if there was an RNS with a nomad or Colin was simply struggling to get the lid off his signing pen we would had some proper significant leaky buying by now. Anyone near this share would know that a $50m+ asset sale would create an immediate multiple of the current £13m share price so I can only conclude that we are miles away from a sale at this point - not to say it couldn't happen before christmas tho!

A lot of sells today - just wondering that as the Roast have not included GLR in list of 12 stocks of christmas many will be thinking no deal is actually close by - presumably the roast guys would know a bit more and would want to include it if we were close to a decent asset sale and a big rise? slight downer that news tbh

I thought tbh that the contingent conditions had been met and that the money is coming regardless with only £40 k subject to the conditions but it’s probably a case of Dear Prudence which the auditors will be keen on

Just had a look at the accounts, can anyone point me to where the second tranche approx £2.1million due from afrimat in april 24 is shown?

I can see in note 8 the existing 1st tranche afrimat shares at £2.1m and the sandfire shares at £700k , not sure where the 2nd tranche is shown? thanks

Also just to note that Afrimat shares are at 6300 so above the level when the shares were paid to us, sandfire at 7.3 which is up the last couple of months

It seems that kamativi, luansobe and maybe one or two Kalahari licenses are all potentially in play for an asset sale.

Luansobe open pit alone has an in ground value of $480 million and from what I understand it is quite straightforward to get at .

I have 334K shares and I have decided to hold and say NO to this derisory offer

Follow up resolution to sack the board obviously (unless we get a better offer , say 17p in the interim )

By my crude calculations, if more than 50% of PIs vote against it they are toast

19% votes which they have is 75% of the vote only if a total of 25% of shareholders vote.

So let’s see if PIs always get screwed , or only if they don’t front up

Not impossible to do something about it - so let’s see what some bigger holders want to do, moaning after a while is pointless

They want this on the dead cheap with an FU to the shareholders- happy to give them a poke in the eye pending some leadership on this one

Also there is the possibility of a No vote, or other transaction failure, and we could be back down to sub 12p . so you could get a 10% drop or a possible 4% that takes 3 or 4 more months. so stop trolling people who have sold at a profit at 13p, while none of the experts on this board saw this coming.

personally if i had the kind of stake some people on here have talked about (and underwater) I'd consider legal action v various Shanta personnel for breach of fiduciary duty or similar - no doubt it stinks

I’m sure they’ll be relying on a lot of smaller shareholders not getting around to vote or forgetting or whatever if they need 75% of only those that actually vote.

Also at the end of the day it’s above where we’ve been the last few months and there will be a fear that a No vote drops it back to 11.50 or something.

Though I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve suppressed the price with well timed selling on thin volume recently to make this 13.5p look bearable

Most likely they know they can sell Shanta assets for 300m within 12 months and keeping that for themselves. So even if someone came in with 18p they’d want to scupper it as they know it’s worth 30p plus

So Yup need to find a couple of alternative junior gold miners to replace this with - any ideas?
