You'll make a lot of money if you sell short and the shares drop to 30p. What time frame do you have for that? I see a £2.00 floor in the near term. Rising to £4.00 if UK sales continue to rise at 50% a year for a few more years.

Update: The earlier post was not from PeeBee but from Rightmove I think. Still not familiar with how twitter works :) There's now a queury as to why Google has indexed the page on 27th January if it has been off the market for 14 weeks. This property is Sold Subject to Contract and doesn't appear in Zoopla. You can't book a viewing via the PB platform. All very strange and again I'm thinking that there is nothing untoward going on here but that it's a technical problem. I've asked PB about all this in the capacity as a seller, asking about the listing date and have been referred to Rightmove & Zoopla. They don't understan why Zoopla doesn't list it when you choose to view SSTC properties. They appear not to know about the listing date and are certainly not suggesting to me as a customer that I can manipulate the listing date by withdrawing and then adding my property again. My LPE actually told me that Rightmove will not change the listing date unless the property is off the market for 14 weeks.

I can answer this now. For Barclays Stockbrokers anyway. The trigger price is the LSE price which is described by LSE as "the last automatic trade, the last uncrossing price or the mid-price of the best bid and offer prices available for the security"

VulcanBob, how do these stop/loss orders work? If you set a stop order of 3.00 could this be executed if the marketmakers temporarily extend the spread that they are using to 2.99 to sell and 3.50 to buy?

I'm not sure where Google gets its daily price variations from, perhaps they are based on the spread rather than trades. Looking at today's trades they're all pretty much between 320p and 230p. Google's claiming a high of 335p and a low of 305p.

Update from PeeBee: "I can confirm that this listing had been off Rightmove for more than 14 weeks. Thanks for querying. " I should have asked whether PB were the original agent but I can't see 14 week marketing breaks being common so the potential of double counting doesn't really concern me.

Not really a user of twitter. I'm following him but I don't understand all the posts. The size limit of the posts make it unintelligible or is it just me? Not interested in unverified Trustpilot posts. He seems to get very excited about them so I'm reluctant to wade through them all.

I don't believe it is done by PB as it would be too much of a risk for very little reward. It would contradict my own experience with them. I think it would be far more likely for traditional agents to do this as they don't earn anything if the property doesn't sell. I think the example case you pointed out is more likely to be down to a technical failure on original submission of the property. Presumably PB have an automated process for simultaneously submitting a new property to Rightmove & Zoopla. The fact that Rightmove's advert is correctly dated suggests to me that in the case of Zoopla the submission failed and this was put right later on. If that's the case then there was no double counting and I am not concerned that the figures are even 1% out.

You are just jumping to conclusions. 1) That PB have somehow deliberately orchestrated this and 2) that Kirsty is in on the conspiracy. I am dealing with an LPE and I can tell you that he told me that he has to be very careful about what he can say in the advert because the industry are scrutinizing every move they make and are looking to expose any problems with what they do. He said he's not even allowed to say something is in walking distance yet I look around at all the other adverts from the local Estate Agents and they are full of these types of comments. I wanted to list our property as 5 bed and he said he'd have to speak to head office first because one of the rooms is downstairs (former 3 bed bungalow converted to house with 4 upstairs beds - so potentially 7 beds). So do I believe he'd try and manipulate the portals when all the local agents know my property has been on the market since January? Not for a second.

Zoopla have said that to be listed as a new property it has to have been off the market for a period of time which doesn't appear to be the case. Perhaps it's been listed as a completely new property but why would PB do that as they would have to pay another fee to Zoopla. They get paid whether it sells or not and the cost to the business, if caught in dodgy listings would be disproportional. Your conclusions just don't make any sense.

>You are losing me Cyber Quite simply neither model is optimal but in my opinion there's not much in it in terms of which is better. Take the difference in price into account and PB is a clear winner. PB's service is plain to see so if somebody signs up and then complains that such and such wouldn't happen with a High Street Agent then more fool them. A lot of those that complain, if you can trust these online reviews, appear to be the type that think you get something for nothing.
