Away from all the infantile "handbags at dawn" ramping and deramping, it's worth taking a step back IMO. Yes it's difficult to know how it will go on Monday/Tuesday I agree. But it's important to remember that the company is not a rank super-early stage explorer or 'wildcatter' looking for shiny rocks on the surface. They have an official JORC for an in-ground value of $4bn! And it's in a safe, developed nation, not some remote lawless land. It still needs more work to upgrade it from Inferred to Indicated, yes, but that's due to start soon. A 1% valuation today is very reasonable and typical in the mining industry, which is $40m or £30m, or 0.75p per share. I've suggested keeping it realistic and saying 0.5p or so. That's a trebler from today's close, whatever happens next week.

Kp, thinking further about the 7M warrants you claim are locked away with 'someone' until much higher prices - do we not actually need those to be exercised, to give the company enough money to get through the next critical 6-9 months?

I suspect that a 'round' 1M sell is likely to be a warrant exercise. Some people are happy to accept a quick risk-free 10% and who can blame them... The same seller may have sold more warrants higher up, hopefully this was the last batch... I note that someone below said that they had knowledge that a big chunk of warrants were tightly held .

Yes there's probably a lot to be said for taking a big slug of cash and walking away in the next few months IMO.

Meanwhile the recycling business will hopefully benefit from EU funding like this article from a few months ago suggests (not sure if it's been previously posted)

I would hope that a strategic source of critical minerals outside Chinese control, and funding/construction-ready, would sell for more than $50m personally, especially when they have invested about $35m over the years I understand. Maybe $70m to sell 100% outright in H1 2025 and walk away, if Cohen can negotiate that. Plus a Cohen fee of $4-5m. Just my thoughts? It's hard to tell the outcome but in any case, either Songwe or the valuable stake in the Maginito business are in the share price totally for free at 8p (sub $30m).

If the US govt wants to ensure REE supply from a friendly mining company, how would they ensure that in the case of a listing of Songwe? I'm not quite clear. Take a 20% equity stake directly? Export credits for investment monies?

My only slight worry is whether the incoming moron in the White House will be able to understand the concept of a 'strategic asset' for the US which is located in what he calls a 's**thole country'. Instead of working with Malawi for a beneficial outcome for them, for the USA and for investors he may just start openly attacking and threatening the country.

JC21, there are 4bn shares in issue, multiplied by 0.2p, gives an £8m market cap.

That email must have been before the latest share issue. The updated information on the company website (Investors page) shows Rostra 12%, TPM 8%, Wonderful 8%. Actual directors holdings in their own names are very small.

Is Rostra a ROCK director? I looked at their website, it appears to be a Singaporean investing company and it didn't say who owned it.

I can't find any info about Wonderful Group, can anyone provide any info?

"At least 50% directors and insti holdings"... Sigh... Anyone with 60!seconds to spare can check on the company's website and see that the actual %age is 33%... Which is still not bad, but dishonest to make random ramping claims... The genuine value here will out in the next few weeks IMO...

People expecting Rock to be worth hundreds of millions imminently are either idiots or rampers.

Having said that...

Typically explorers are valued at about 1% of their inferred resource 'in the ground'. Rockfire have 1.5m tons of zinc equivalent which is worth about USD 4 billion. 1% of this is USD 40 million, say GBP 30 million. Current market cap is GBP 8 million.

So I would say that a conservative but fair value today is around 0.5-0.6p.

Am I right that the current market cap is about £15m? Today's offtake looks like a lifesaver with the prepayment, so that's good, but what net profit will 100k tons p.a. bring to the company approx? They need to cover £1.8m annual admin costs at least.

We should get news on the UK plant coming online in the next couple of months IMO

Personally I think somewhere in the 15-20p range is fair value today, given the funding-ready assets in Malawi, the smoothly progressing Hypromag USA, and the context of China gradually turning the taps off on critical minerals...
