Yes esduk, the dilution from the recent placing was only 10% so it was hardly disastrous, and the SP hit 12p intraday just a 3 weeks ago, before the insider-trading spivs got wind of the placing.

Quite possible, as I said yesterday the CEO was in New York on 19 Jan discussing the definitive agreement with Cohen and CPTK, it's not out of the question that it's a relatively straightforward transaction and Cohen are pushing it towards signing an agreement quickly, we could maybe see that even next week? In any case I don't expect it to be announced later than end Feb/early March.

The likelihood of getting a $100m+ listing is certainly increasing with all this noise over REEs...

Not an expert but I wouldn't think so. When you eventually come to sell, the TSX shares will be sold in CAD, and either retained in that currency if your trading account allows it, or converted to GBP if not.

I wonder if someone knows that the definitive SPAC agreement is actually very close? We heard in the interview on the 20th Jan that our CEO was in New York for meetings about it, I assumed it would take 5-6 weeks but it's not out of the question that Cohen have pushed it all along very quickly and the agreement is about to be signed?

It's good to see that the buying is continuing, for now at least... All buys today so far, probably a delayed sell will appear later... People must realise that there is good newsflow visibility for quite a few months ahead...

I don't think IP will be affected by tariffs - I don't even see how they could be. Trump only wants to claim that tariffs will be good for US jobs and money. If the IP is foreign owned I think that's irrelevant. Having the vessels made in Germany is a different matter, but I don't think they're that specialised that a US manufacturer couldn't be procured to build them in-country?

"Co-operation" is a word that doesn't exist in Trump's vocabulary. Nor "allies" or "friends". Literally everyone is either a competitor to be crushed, or an enemy to be destroyed. What a guy.

...that was a bit unexpected... Like the last one, at least it's going towards the company's growth aims, rather than being a desperate 'keep the lights on' placing as for so many AIM companies... Plus they're subject to a 4-month hold...

This is my best guess:

* Feb or March (personally I think late Feb): binding agreement for the SPAC listing of Songwe - statement about targeted listing valuation

* Feb or March (based on Ionic's statement) - update on UK grant application, possible confirmation

* Late April? - UK plant commissioning completed - possible announcement of first small-scale commercial output?

* April - update on German plant progress probably

* April - final design optimisation/value engineering for US plant, new plant cost confirmed

* June - final investment decision (FID) for US plant

* June(?) - SPAC listed on Nasdaq

Just my view, but there's plenty of value-driving to come in the next few months!

Ionic is interesting, it looks to be very similar to Mkango, with an African RE mine (they own 60%, due to move to 94% it says), and recycling projects in Belfast and Brazil based on Queens University Belfast technology. Certainly the Belfast project seems to be twice the NPV of our US project. Does anyone know what the technology is and how it differs from our short-loop? It seems that they have 5.2bn shares in issue, at 0.6c Aus, which I reckon puts their market cap at about £15M. Seems cheap on the face of it, but I don't know what capital they will need to raise in the coming year. The "substantial" UK govt grant sounds positive, and as you say it's the same fund we have bid for...

Agreed a nice little rise, I'm not counting my chickens yet as I think it will probably be late Feb when we get the definitive SPAC agreement, but as you say there could be other news that people hope for (or know about) before then...

Yes Songwe needs substantial capex to move forward obviously. There's no way Mkango have the money (or seemingly the intention) to source that funding. But we could easily start marketing the project and encourage a big miner to take a majority stake through a JV approach with increasing investment etc. We end up with 10% as the mine enters production. Etc etc
