Has a nice swing trade as SP shifted from -2% yesterday to +3% this morning. Sudden buying pressure might get it through 1400 today?
Well I'd probably only wait a few pence rise to skim with a sizeable buy like that, given the variables that are in play here. Might be wise to wait until end of the week tbh as another afternoon RNS is not what you want if you've just bought!
Sold my trading stash at 224.5 odd this morning, then bought some back at just shy of 211. Gotta love BOO! Kept all of my long term position of course.. Amazing day of recovery which shows this was just traded a tad, and overall sentiment is definitely there. Directors need to hold fast though.
Sure they do. Obviously noticing it depends upon your usage as you have to submit the quote before you get the neg order page, and I know it's not down to particular volatility as all my portfolio is affected when they lose the pricing feed. So I go call email and only then do they discretely confirm their issues. Never had it happen on my Interactive Investor service.
Iweb are cheap, run by Halifax share dealing, but the website frequently has issues with the market feed so cannot obtain live prices for orders and then drops you back to "manual negotiated order" page, which is basically a dealer queue where you don't know what you'll trade at... Ive known it down all day, it was down 30 mins on Tuesday, its just random service interruptions, frustrating when you need to trade quickly, but they say they are maintain8ng their online platform service to customers via the manual queue. Go figure.
And so it proved once again..i sold off my trading stash at 1368 upon todays's belated open and got some back for my long term position at the 1340 close. Was hoping for a wider range though.
So, with their successful and growing logistics partnership with BOO, was wondering if anybody holds or is interested to hold CLG and has relevant views to kindly share?? Obviously posting this here risks off -topic criticism, minimal #posts, or possibly this question has been done to death here previously, etc, etc, so my apologies in advance! CLG forum seems quiet and I'm struggling a bit to learn more about them, as possible companion investment to BOO..Any thoughts / info appreciated..
I half expected it would spike up before close just to make a liar of me today, but no, it stayed well below the high. I may just try to trade a few intra day then, although mainly long since buying in on the big drop. Have to be careful though, seen good news break and the sp jump mid day on this before..
Anyone noticed how this seems, more often than not, to make its daily high in the mornings and then sell off in the afternoon, usually starting the decline an hour or so before the US opens?
I still have some that I bought at 222p in Sept - I bought because it did drop from 265 odd when she sold, then it dropped again. But I hung on and topped up and averaged down over the winter as, I suspect, many did. The catalyst for the drops was the unexpected selling and it caused people to buy pre update and dump on the news. I think those days are over. The last results did not have a major rise in anticipation, but actually upon news. If news is good on 12th there will be no catalyst for a drop to follow.
I read somewhere it is due 4th September - I hold IQE too. Yes, I guess most people will opportunistically swing trade a stock like BOO, while also keeping a long term holding. Actually my last buy was at 203.9 on Thursday afternoon, hoping for the commencement of the June rise, and it delivered!
