Looks like someone bought up the domain name melodyvrgroup.com 19 days ago. Seems a bit late if they’re been planning a new website for it. Maybe they’re just parking it.

@wayneb I think we were all hoping for some live stuff right now to capitalise on the lockdown, maybe not on the same scale as that lady gaga one, but they could have done something like Chris Martin did in his kitchen. But not a peep.
Is that it? The coronavirus lockdown is coming to an end and all they’ve managed to do in five weeks is put out a few old videos for free?
At least fortnite have shown what is possible with online concerts, they’ve done two in fourteen months with marshmello and travis Scott and got nearly 25 million viewers in total if you include all the marshmallow YouTube downloads after the event.
25 million for just two concerts! And they handled 12 million viewers watching live for the latest travis Scott concert.
If only we were moving as fast as fortnite,
The total number of views melody has had for all their YouTube videos since they joined in 2015, is 116,000 — that’s all their videos combined. Fortnite got 25 million in 14 months — for just two concerts!

Some of the self-confessed experts on here have been excitedly buying the dips all the way down from 18p. It’s 10p! Never be this cheap again! It’s 8p now! Fill your boots! What a bargain! 6p! 5p! 4p! We’re going to be millionaires! And then it rises a piddly half-a-p and they insist it’s heading to the moon and jump on anyone who puts in a criticism.
Even after this weeks rise that everyone is getting so excited about, we’re still exactly the same price we were last year, and a third of the price we were two years ago. So I’d rather listen to the wiser heads who have kept their money safely out of it and are waiting for the financials to come out, and the concrete news to drop, instead of the ones who wet themselves on every little rumour.
Not sure if the dates can be relied upon, but Morningstar are showing the final results as coming out next week, the annual report the week after that, and the AGM the week after that. Should be an interesting few weeks.
We’ve attracted less reviews this year than this 50p tesco’s bath sponge

I referenced all of the reviews that were posted in 2020 — there are eleven of them. Eleven in all three stores combined. my point is that melody should have garnered a hell of a lot more than eleven reviews over three and a half months if we’re getting the high traffic that AM is hinting at. We’re two years after launch now!
Spin it all you want, because when it comes to this share you’ve got rose-tinted spectacles on. Melody should employ you in their PR department.
It’s pointless talking to you petebo, because all you want to hear is fullsome praise
You’re both looking at the ratings. I’m looking at the actual written reviews, like i said.
try the oculus link again... didn't work last time... https://www.oculus.com/experiences/go/1168045643267750/
i know we're supposed to have big news coming soon but this is the kind of stuff that really worries me... if you look on the apple app store there's just one single review for the whole of 2020. maybe they're not showing them all, but the only review we've had all year is 1-star.
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/melodyvr/id1282071543#see-all/reviews
on the google play store it's bit better... they've got six reviews. half of which were 1-star. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.melodyvr.mvr&showAllReviews=true
on the oculus store we've had four reviews all year... half of which were 1-star

if our traffic has exploded 56% or 700%, or whatever it is now, then where are all the reviews?
i can only find a combined total of ELEVEN reviews on all three stores since January 1st.
and remember we had app of the day on two of those stores, which should have given us tens of thousands of downloads.
haven't we already got a subscription thing going with O2 -- their customers were given a 12-month subscription to MelodyVR when 5G rolled out.
and O2 are paying them guaranteed money so presumably its an exclusive thing. maybe they have to wait for it to end before they can open it up to everybody.

I can’t be the only one who's lost faith in what they say in their RNS’s. How many times have they said exciting stuff is coming soon, or rolling it out in the next few months, or they’ve got plans to do this and that, and nothing happens.
@petebo, got to admit i couldn't be bothered to read that RNS when it came out (this share has gone on the backburner for me - got bored of waiting), but there's a bit in it that says "as the number of event cancellations continue to rise... we fully expect a number of key events from our forthcoming pre-agreed and unannounced live event and festival schedule for 2020 to be postponed or reorganised for later in the year."
so there goes the live concerts for another few months at least. that's where all our earnings were going to come from.... now its just back to recorded shows again. everyone seems to be getting excited that this coronavirus thing might be good for melody, but it's bad for everyone. not much they can do about it.
I suppose it’s perfectly possible that rather than being an opportunity, coronavirus might have scuppered all their plans and pushed everything back again. If they were going to live stream a John gore show soon then they can’t, because all the theatres are shut. Same with concerts, they’ve all been cancelled. the government will allow big gatherings like that for another couple of months. I reckon they’ll just carry on releasing recorded shows from the vaults until the venues are up and running again
@mel5, how is that a good thing? I’m lousy at maths so I might be a bit out, but imagine if facebook bought us out for $100 million right now. That would be more than the company is worth on paper, and the share price would barely rise above what it is now. I’m guessing most of us would be under water.
i think that 360 Lion King video on YouTube really shows what might be possible with theatre -- imagine if they live-streamed that every night, with the jumpspots as well. you could easily get a theatre-full of people buying tickets every night once it gets going. most of the west end shows run six nights a week, so if have a few different ones available all the time, ... and then chuck in all the live music concerts on top of that as well.
that's a lot of money they could be making.
if... if... if... if it ever gets going.
Just been watching some 360 videos of theatre shows on YouTube. they’ve got one of the lion king - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7T57kzGQGto - look at the views and all the positive comments underneath. Perhaps one day we might actually get going with John gore
