Some of us have seen the worst of this - the selling down period by legacy Travis holders, who did not want the shares, from the COVID-related boom.
It is cash generative, with stock turnover broadly in synch with payment dates.
It has proved resilient in downturns, and has seen off competition.
Since spin off, Wickes has been able to refine it’s model under more-focused management, as one would expect.
I am hoping it will prove surprisingly resilient in comparative terms to retail generally - and it’s offerings are far less discretionary than it’s main competitor.
In the absence of anything else, next up is 6 months results, the trading update with revised expectations putting Wickes down 20% on the day.
