No I don’t. But I appreciate the in depth microscopic examination of everything on bulletin boards. It’s what’s done. ‘Strange’ things happen. If I read it right, even Ggp think the 5% thing was a bit unexpected. No explanation or particular ideas from Ggp CEO though. Not stating any views that Havieron is in doubt. And no comment as far as I’ve seen in wider reporting.
So I think it is a hare, and some are still chasing it.

I find the continuing discussion surrounding Ncm abandoning its own joint venture as strange, with nothing from anywhere, including amongst all the posts on here to realistically support it. Seems to be based on some sort of ‘spite’ Ncm policy.

We used to have the odd Chartist on here, but I didn’t think it was over helpful as they spoke of no support levels in a rather gloomy way. Well, there wouldn’t be, would there, with the way it was just making new lows.
That’s changed, and a bit of charting sort of adds another dimension to this board.

I mean, it would be a bit stupid to have different transparency requirements on the same company, wouldn’t it? Just a technicality, but these things get spread about.

Don’t think so. Ggp is a UK issuer. 5% etc is for non UK register companies. Have another read and come back?

Wouldn’t you expect an RNS by now of 3% holding by the big boys. Or are you taking the view that there’s some other arrangement in place. I don’t subscribe to the view, sometimes expressed, that they don’t have to notify whilst still buying. It does not comply.
I know I seem to be at odds sometimes. But it appears to me that some things may have been repeated so often they become entrenched as truth.

Just interested on your maths exercise. Not relying on bought and sold as being accurate. Where are you ‘ or them ‘ accounting for the mid priced trades.

Nobody needs advice from me. But I will tell you what I do - stick with the reasons I bought if nothing’s changed. If the company does well, so will the sp.

On chunks of shares, been in several like that. Where they coming from? Don’t know. Fact is there may be largish positions under 3% being liquidated. Or undeclared and over. We’ll never know. Until they stop.

I’m not one to argue it further, with no satisfactory answer forthcoming, from me or anyone else.. But have none of you been in a share which has advanced whilst shorted? And on more than 0.5%.. So it seems to me, a special sort of case is being made on Greatland.

I pointed out before the shares have to be sold to be truly short. However, it’s a muddle. Perhaps it’s hedging, I don’t know. But it’s a morbid, rather petty thing argued about. 0.5% for goodness sake. Lack of buying is the problem, whatever view you take on shorting.

It doesn’t take much, unless you put a spin on it, to realise 0.5% is next to nothing in the shorting world. Don’t know why anyone has been harping on about it.

Dividend
The Board has declared an interim dividend of 3.6p, which will be paid on 4 November 2022 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 30 September 2022.

The shares will be quoted ex-dividend on 29 September 2022. Shareholders in the UK may elect to reinvest their dividend in the Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP). The last date for receipt of DRIP elections and revocations will be 14 October 2022.

We recognise the importance of cash returns to our shareholders, and, at our FY 2021 results, we announced an enhanced payout ratio of 40% of adjusted profit after tax, with approximately one third to typically be paid as an interim dividend. While there are well-documented headwinds for the sector to navigate, given the cash generative nature of our business and the strength of our balance sheet, and on the basis that adjusted profit before tax falls within the current guidance range, we intend to maintain the full year dividend per share at last year’s level.

In the current year the payout ratio will thus rise above 40%, but over time we would look to return to this level.
