I don’t see any shorters notified. Normally, the view is taken if none notified they don’t exist, or in such small numbers as to be largely irrelevant in terms of those who believe there is a reason for the price to suffer. And when they’re short they’ve sold, done, and hope for the price to go down. It does seem to me there’s sometimes a special case being made for Greatland. But I know that’s an unpopular and largely lonely view.

Well, if things turn out for the best with the mine itself, that has to be the position to work from.
But I’ve yet to see any remotely persuasive argument that Newcrest would not wish to persue their own best interests.

As a matter of course, with that in mind and an Australian listing on the cards, I’ve little doubt that management will be casting around to bolster the share register, and tie up as much as they can of the float. As has been mentioned before, that may come together on company developments, natural phased progression. It’s part of their management brief.

It seems to me that the job is done, but not quite dusted, with the Wyloo involvement following due diligence, and bank undertakings, and the position being reached that Greatland is said to be fully funded for its 30 per cent share of the Havieron project development based upon the October 2021 2Mtpa Pre-Feasibility Study; and well positioned to be fully funded in respect of the Feasibility Study targeting an expansion to around 3Mtpa due in the December 2022 quarter.
All, as one would expect, subject to normal process, and within the terms of the JV.

Pretty basic, isn’t it, but having now exceeded the placing price ( if sellers permit ) the next price discovery target is that 10p, regardless of when or if the warrants are exercised. Wyloo will pay for them, have no need to rush and will not exercise until they are at least ‘in the money’.
