I don’t think it’s pie in the sky. It’s as good a hypothesis as any, and Wyloo with it’s clout has become the prime mover within Ggp and therefore Havieron.
Personally, just as a comment, I do not see Wyloo as particularly synonymous with Fortescue Metals, and their activities, , but a connection through the Forrest family ownership of Tatterang and therefore Wyloo, and the family holdings in FMG.

A lot of this global, macro stuff is above my pay grade. But it’s easy enough to sort of see what happens.

Regardless, the mine will continue to exist, with Ggp’s 30% which cannot be wrested from them, other than by agreement and within the terms of the JV. In terms of practicality it seems to be the Telfer processing facility that is a fundamental part of the JV plan.

Ggp don’t have to sell their share of Havieron. If a bid is made for the 30%, they can consider it.
If a bid comes in for Ggp, they can consider that too.
So what’s the beef?

Not sure I have grasped the meaning of your post. Proposed sale of an increasingly large asset would normally drive it up, if the current and potential value of the resource is not already factored in.

Well, anything would be possible. I think it would seem a bit funny for Ncm to be making a DTM, when they might not be the ones doing it. I suppose contractors would be kept on by whoever became developers, should there be a change.

And Ggp share price not reacting one way or the other.

Private, patient capital will usually find a way, if there’s profit out of it to be made. A consortium could be formed, there are all sorts of possibilities.
If there is building press speculation, Ggp may find itself having to comment. Nowhere near that yet.

You can never rule out corporate matters getting in the way of shareholder aspirations, as one or two of us have said. ‘The company’ will always come first.

Perhaps not wise to get carried away on speculation on that little bit. I do tend to think Duhe is not a done deal though.
