Nothing wrong with boosting Ggp price. Havieron alone would be a separate valuation based on what each of the two partners jointly know.

There’s far too many pi’s in here. Whatever else may happen, I hope any future ASX listing will go to better balance, improve the quality of the share register, and tie down a greater number of shares in ( more ) patient money from this price.

As per reaction, with thoughts of a placing planted, it’s not hard to see why some pi’s would want to safeguard their profit. I’m holding, consider myself locked in and see what commercial production brings.

I try not to get into argument on here any more about the notion of shorting to buy - involving borrowing, selling to short, buying shares to keep, and buying back the shares borrowed, over and over. That sort of thing. And there are other reasons why shares may be borrowed. As indicated in this article.

Who’s shorting? Who’s buying, and holding up their holdings notifications?

The search for a villain continues, though I suppose we should be pleased somehow they’re buying more than they’re selling overall, yet the price goes down.

I think that sort of old yarn around JPM shorting whilst Newcrest bought shares and hid them away rather run it’s distance.

Where’s the evidence that JPM have anything at all to do with it since they went below tracking level?

It was a minimal published short position anyway.

Gettin used to JD and his twaddle on other posters. Some may call Summit/JD disruptive, but it doesn’t disrupt me.

Can’t say I’m keen on either just at the moment. Maybe next year sometime, when Ggp has worked through it’s in-house issues.

There’s been a lot of press speculation. Anybody seen anything around Havieron and Telfer mothballing? Nothings conclusive, of course, but it’s quite a glaring alternative for these mining gurus to miss out on completely.

Maybe they’re not bothered, but I think they would be. Reputational damage, and consideration by future partners in bringing new resources to market. Get so far and pull the plug.

It’s not something I find as at all persuasive, that it won’t be mined.

Anyway, if profit is the name of the game, and the stage it’s at, apparently, are. there those about who will take the view that Havieron is ‘not worth bothering with’.

That would I think, amount to a decision not to mine, in which case Mr. Day and Co have to step up somehow.

At least, that’s the way discussions tend to be framed in the media around it. Newmont may decide to keep H, and the JV as is, or something else - the project should be well-advanced by then.

Yes. Ggp wait on Newmont, if/when it goes through, to make their decisions across the enlarged portfolio, and see what may be in it for Ggp that they don’t particularly want.

As long as he continues to address the existing plan and whatever is needed to bring Ggp 30% into production, as he will, it’s as you were anyway. All Ggp plans around Havieron, listing, appear likely to have been concluded prior to Newmont getting the reins heading toward year-end.
