But I was wondering, perhaps only in general terms, who ‘they’ might be shaking out us smaller pi’s , some who may have staked their retirement plans on it, to better themselves somehow. ie. What’s ‘their’ plan as you envisage it?

I’d be interested to hear the thinking behind that, who ‘they’ are and so on, ‘their ‘ master-plan.

i am not in the least concerned. there will either be a raise or not, and it won’t be done to ****-up company development.

and if some here get their way, it’s pretty-well nailed on sooner or later, buying telfer, 70% and all that. but those accretive wishes seem to have largely tailed off on this board.

This is the official line, the one promulgated to the market.

If there were to be a rights issue, it would not progress rebalancing the share register, and would add nothing to the actual ASX listing.

Of course, I don’t know, whether he will choose to raise or not. I just think it’s a very tempting opportunity which may be considered too good to miss.

You are very unlikely to get any assurances and won’t know until there is a RNS about the ASX listing, as promised, and on which there will be a vote.

It is my guess, with what has been said about investors, ii’s, waiting in the wings, that the listing provides Mr. Day with an opportunity to raise cash ( whether to enhance balance sheet for exploration or some other purpose)

I get the thrust of your argument. It’s been there since Wyloo arrived. But

Hav 30% cannot be taken private by the private Wyloo without Ggp say so. Ggp cannot be taken private by Wyloo without Ggp say so.

The crux of your posit is what is an alleged eye-watering sum for either Hav or Ggp.

All the parties to Ggp/Hav want to make money out of it, so to that extent they are all on the same side, production wise, and Hav is proceeding satisfactorily.

I see no reason why that particular exercise should not proceed as anticipated. The rest of it will just have to fall into place. Beyond that, it is the inter-corporate events arising from the complication of Newcrest/Newmont that may affect shareholders in different ways, short and long term. As I understand it, it is Mr. Day’s current stated view ( informal town hall ) that there will be no change that he foresees just now, though I doubt he can actually know for sure.

If there is a change, he may find himself in a different corner from Newmont/another.

I wouldn’t argue your view. It’s at least as valid as those who oppose you, and why shouldn’t you make that point.

It’s down to Mr. Day falling in line with Newcrest, knowing they are the developers, major partners, and the other reasons for ensuring the content of a release is agreed. Can’t see that changing.

You’re maybe protesting too much. Some posters brought things on themselves on here by elevating Mr. Day to a status he probably neither wants nor deserves. Rabbits out of hats and all that. Exaggerated hopes and expectations.

Some of it came from town halls where he engaged his audience. Every word then seized on, interpreted, repeated. What’s he got up his sleeves.

The RNS controlled official releases tell what we need to know, and things are going satisfactorily.

Less personalisation, about the man, more about events, would possibly lead to less discord.

Ggp needs income to progress. Getting to FCF is paramount.

A really big ask for Ggp, and we don’t know how it would be effected, what it comes with, no matter how accretive long term. I sit that one out, believing Newmount won’t make any decisions until next year anyway.

If Wyloo aren’t prepared to vote in favour of something, there won’t be a vote.

On rabbits, he’ll have to take a far more realistic approach. Perhaps hiding in a field and making a noise like a carrot.
