I don’t support those who try to put spin on non publication of MRE, and seem discontent about one being published in line with what the market has been told.

And put spin around how holding it back will advance Ggp in negotiations.

In my view, it’s nonsense.

But you believe all that if you want to. I don’t.

You lot can come at me as much as you like. The fact is, and it is a fact, Newcrest were so-called anticipated to publish MRE. They didn’t. He says he’s putting it right. This quarter. He should do so, unless you want a MD who doesn’t follow through.

The market reads what’s in RNS predominantly. That’s what counts on credibility.

And I don’t care if Newmont want to publish. But he knows he been bitten once by the need to ‘align.’ He is Ggp. We are Ggp shareholders. He should not allow himself to be bitten again by Newmont.

Would you seriously not have expected the MD of a listed company to do his best for shareholders about the 5% option exercise you keep harking back to as being a stroke of genius?

I wouldn’t suggest Mr. Day has joined the dark side.

I think there is simply a ‘tactical myth’ being worked up on this board about the MRE.

It’s ‘ overdue’. He recognises that. So get on and publish, doing your best to keep Newmont sweet and have the MRE agreed if possible.

I don’t call that tactics.

It’s all meaningless blurb around the MRE.

After aligning with Newcrest, who so-called let the side down. Too busy.Now aligning with Newmont. Nothing new there. No effect on negotiations at all with your own JV partner.

I think most of us get the fact Newmont will keep 70%, sell some or all of that 70%, or buy 30%. Something like that.

Day has committed to a MRE in RNS, and said the rest publicly by other means.

So where’s the tactics?

Rather looks though, from what he said earlier, that he and somebody else tried their best and old Day knocked them back.

There he goes again. Nobody here IS estimating the growth drilling. I expect somebody at Ggp and contracted can have half an acceptable stab at it, or they’ll be wasting Bamps’ time.

But anyway, having got that done it’ll be last years new, hopefully with greater anssurance that improvements are being made, and we’ll still be waiting on the rest and the Newmont overhang.

I am filtered by him. Bamps has to make up his mind whether he does or does not agree with Mr. Day publishing a MRE.

Whatever it says. He now turns it into a conversation around what the MRE will show. That has never been guessed at on this MRE discussion. He makes an argument that does not exist.

Investors and potential investors know that Ggp strategy is underpinned by Havieron, and that is why, as just pointed out, the company needs to keep the market updated as reasonably expected and promised or risk things seeming lacking control. and getting mushy.

And that follows regardless of Newmont decision.

I think that may be when he suggested, according to a post on here some time ago, that it might pan out around 50% increase. Offshoot little bunch at a Town Hall job.

Wait for the MRE in RNS.

Nobody’s building anybody’s hopes up, that I’ve read. Most just want an overdue updated MRE, as promised, by end December, whatever it shows.

Seemingly, others would be happy to leave it out. Honestly can’t think why that would be.

Whatever’s Bamps on about. Day says he’s doing one. Presumably he wants to.

“In particular, we look forward to completing an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the world-class Havieron gold-copper deposit later this year, which will incorporate 80,000 metres of additional growth drilling since our previous MRE update in March 2022."

Same arguably applies whilst the possibility of a raise, maybe 50% possibility prevails. And fund managers may be anticipating it. Just look at conversations on here about the ‘leak.’ It seems a distinct possibility that was intended, pulled, and Wyloo covered it to finalise.

MHO1. I think it’s very simple. They are all informative steps on the road for Ggp shareholders. One expects to get them.

The MRE, which is coming, won’t make a jot of difference to anything else, arguably not even the share price, whilst the Newmont decision dominates.

And rightly you mention FS and DTM as premier RNSs before investors can make decisions around revenue/debt/free cash flow for exploration.

I agree with Tiggerman’s sentiments. However it is pure speculation that there is a new MRE in existence, and that Ggp has completed one to enable discussions with anybody else, discussions themselves being pure speculation, and are now holding it back.

Mr. Day has said one is being produced, for publication this quarter.. He must come up with the goods, which will on what Newmont has said be before their informal date of possibly giving an update on unspecified assets in February.

You either believe Mr. Day will publish as promised, or you do not.

I just want a MRE because on Ggp own terms it’s overdue. Failed to arrive. Now promised.

Though I think the narrative is changing a bit, I still fail to see how delaying a MRE helps Ggp. It relies, best I can make out,as the scenario stands and has for a while, overly on the hope Mr. Day knows more about Havieron than Newcrest, and what Newmont will make it their business to know.

We’re getting one anyway according to Mr. Day by end December. See what it says and what he says in RNS. That’s it really, isn’t it.

And I doubt Newmont going to say much til they see it, considered it, and seriously considered in depth what to do next.

Don’t like the thought of huge debt/dilution for Ggp with those wanting 70%, buy Telfer, drooling over that wish. On the other hand, I’ll get the same 7am RNS as everyone else, and share price as it goes.

Now, for me if Ggp are part of a plan with others taking a share of the investment case to get a commensurate share of the return, well, OK. It’s that accretion can take time to work through. But as against that, they would be buying a commodity asset, rather than a company where they have to go through the process of finding synergies, economies of scale, and all that.

Think that’s pretty balanced.

Whatever, when and if I get up one morning there’ll be 100 posts and somethings happened, and I’ll be continuing to hold, Maybe for an increase in the price someone’s offered for Ggp. Don’t want them selling our 30% though, and looking for another thing to mine in x years time, whilst still spending on exploration.
