All I am disposed to add is that agreed bank debt is earmarked for Ggp’s 30% Hav development costs, on old info, and Wyloo facility is short term and limited to agreed purposes as listed.

I think old pony might agree, but doesn’t like it being expressed on the board.

I am discontent with what I perceive as tardiness on the MRE, for Ggp shareholders, something which was his responsibility, and is now putting right. There is no obvious way, to.me, he can choose to delay it further.

The rest will have to fall into place through the JV partnership, the best way he can manage.

When’s the right time for Ggp? And why? Can’t see timing as in any way relevant. Should have been August, I think, now December.

i don’t care if he and the rest dress up as biggles and do kangaroo hops to that big rock place in the middle of the place, and back. i would like the basics covered, as a mining company. mre is part of that. an expectation, feeding into confidence and just maybe the sp.

i think it may have given him a kick up the **** when newcrest didn’t publish. there’s something missing there around his alleged alignment and expectation, as against what didn’t happen.

That, in my view has always been total crap. It was something which seems to have come out of Town Hall meetings, and appears flummery.

Right. And MRE is what the market was ‘told’ to expect. It was a let-down. Get on with it and do what investors expect in ‘reasonable’ time frames and stop kicking the can down the road as a company.

Newmont thing going to be a real drag on Ggp sp though.

How it might happen is what’s expected. MRE. Whatever Newmont decide and Ggp do as a result, FS, DTM and mining and a bit of cash coming in to support exploration.

I find it helps to have something very reasonable as a target, and when you got your cash back so much the better. I simply can’t keep throwing money at it, so I made up my mind to follow Wyloo as discussed before.

I think that may refer to Mr. Fred Dobbs, on whose post I think Mr. Day hasn’t found himself in any worse position than another MD.

Well, there were those who thought it part of some cunning plan. I think even Mr. Day might honestly accept it’s now plain overdue for shareholders. As things are, it could well make no difference to sp.

I don’t know, of course I don’t, but I can’t see the need for Newmont to rush. Off the cuff February is probably just a bit of press guidance on an earliest date to satisfy press at the moment.

As you say, the longer the better in practical terms, but in my view in sp terms not so hot.

The board has my support of course, and will on any vote. Yet niggling away is that it was not in the planning, and though the project is enhanced in corporate terms for Ggp, it may prove painful over a period for shareholders.

And in the dark until I guess February is unhelpful.

Personally, I don’t understand enthusiasm, certainly in the short/mid term, for additional debt, equity and capex.

Whilst Newmont decide on Hav/Telfer, and Mr.Day saying he’s a buyer for Hav, we shall remain in that old position of waiting for a potential very large fundraise, an unfortunate place to be.

Don’t want to talk that up, but we’re stuck with it.
