@Trenners yes I think over the next 6-12 months we should see a double at least with FCF etc but my point is that the real benefits won’t come until it’s reflected in accounts. I’m hoping that Y/E figures 2026 are going to be good ( in excess of £50m profit & hopefully a good deal more) & that’s when it will really start.

If we see FCF in December & continued cost reductions we know we’re onto a winner (rather than just believing we are) & that just gives opportunities for punters to jump in.

Any share movements at this stage are just speculation & bear no relevance to longer term prices.

I think we still have longer to wait because even with FCF the Y/E is going to show a substantial loss & the wider market isn’t going to be interested. When we get actual profits that’s when we’ll really motor & that won’t happen until the June update.

I’m really positive on this share but just being realistic on timescales. In the longer term (2-3 years) I’m looking for a minimum multiple of 5X and hopefully more

To be fair that’s pretty much what I expected. You can’t really make an announcement saying everything’s going OK & we’re winning lots of small contracts at better margins.

Also if the FCF slips a little time wise (& I hope it won’t) it’s not the of the world, I suspect there might have been a bit of a sweetener to Zurich to let them off the contract early but that will reflect in better figures in 2026

Trenners that’s a serious commitment. I though I was in pretty heavy at 50,000 + a little top up just prior to the share consolidation to bring me to 52,000.

As you say it really is make or break time with the odds heavily in favour of make.

When you think it wasn’t that long ago when as an unhealthy company shares were trading at £10 ( that’s £150 in new money!) the potential is enormous

3 major events I’m waiting for:

1) sale/disposal of the life business to Zurich. Expected announcement October.

2) return to FCF , it would be nice to get an announcement in Oct//Nov but I expect we’ll have to wait for the December update.

3) return of dividends, provided we’ve achieved sustainable FCF I don’t see any reason not to announce a small dividend probably in the Y/E figures In March.

Once the above is achieved together with an increasing order book, improved margins & reducing overheads I believe we’ll really fly & days of below £3 will seem bargain basement

Daltry I don’t think there’s anything particularly magical in AI it’s just the latest in a long line in automation from cotton mills to steam engines to production lines to computers etc.

All designed to do a job quicker & better with a smaller workforce & in turn creating opportunities in new fields (or existing ones)

I would echo Trennners view that with CPI we are in the right place at the right time with the right management

@Trisor I’m hoping FCF will come in November giving a month of positive cash to reduce Y/E loss

& they stated that they can’t give a cost until they’ve taken the services ‘in house’ so they haven’t a clue what it’s going to cost ( no doubt more expensive then current CPI contracts).

All they want is to do is to create more council jobs & increase the boss’s powers & salaries & be d….d with the consequences

Re the GP surgery leak I have received a reply from CPI ( Helen Paris) & she confirmed Capita are investigating but at the moment are unsure if any personal information has been leaked.

So it appears Capita are involved

I suspect she got the figures she wanted from the estate agent by declaring the minimum information without making them aware of the full picture.

@Terry I think that sums up JL pretty well & I was seduced by his (to be polite!) misrepresentation of facts such as turnaround complete, dividends forthcoming etc.

Thank heaven that AH actually understands that shareholders own the company & he has duty to them & the ability to deliver backed up by his & other board members paying tax in order to keep their share bonuses

Back to much repeated basics - until we get FCF (anytime in the next 3 months) & dividends ( or at least a statement re date for resumption) this will still drift .

Once the above is achieved (probably 1/2 year 2026 but possibly in Y/E figures this will fly.

I know jam tomorrow is always promised but the progress under AH has been rapid & impressive. We have all become jaded under the continuous miss information pedalled by JL for 5 years. If he was still in charge CPI would now be bankrupt & we do need to give AH credit for a real turnaround in a relatively short timeframe

I’m hoping that we’ll have head start re AI implementation on our competitors & in the next 12-18 months this will pay dividends ( both figuratively & in reality!).

The prospects for further cost cuts (in addition to the £260m) appear likely with the benefit of increasing margins & ability to win more contracts & the hoped for rise in the SP.

Cynic that I am I have noticed that the number of likes to a post appears to have a direct relationship to how positive the poster is re CPI. No disrespect Simpiles as I do value your posts.
