Initially I would expect a token figure but let’s say that £40m might be distributed in due course (assuming trading profits of £50m +) that would give around 2.5p/ share & a 10% return would boost the SP

I was getting excited when this was approaching 23p now it’s over 26p we really seem to be motoring.
I would expect a few temporary set backs but it seems momentum is there.
A contract win announcement on the 10 th would be good together with clarification of the amount due to be paid off debt this year + the sale price of the last cleared sale.

No offer at that level would be acceptable, too many IIs who have bought at 40p plus.
Personally I think an offer is unlikely but it would have to be north of 60p

Let’s hope JL is going to announce one of those new contracts SM was talking about on 5th May

I can’t believe I’m getting excited about 23p when 6 months ago it was 45p

ADVFN has 41.5m buys V 5.4m sells don’t know if it’s right & if it is I would have expected a substantial price hike

I thought the presentation was pretty downbeat.
Although SM did quote some good news ie possible resumption of dividends 2023/2024 & debt to near zero.
SMS whole demeanour is so negative, even good news seems to get presented as bad news.

I’m not holding my breath on this.
Past updates seem to be pretty downbeat & don’t emphasise the achievements made or forecast future earnings, debt repayments, dividend start date etc.
Unless we get something more positive from SM I can’t see anything much happening until half year results.
Hopefully I’m wrong & there will be a good positive statement ( & if it’s negative or just flat I can see further drift however unjustified)

@sms Not sure what that has to do with CPI share price but I fully support UKs backing of Ukraine & wish Ukraine every success in driving out an invading force from their country.

6 month result early August.
I would hope for some positive announcements for Yellowstone & AGM but the 6 month results should be the beginning of a substantial price uplift.
I would hope this would be triggered by a substantial debt reduction ( at least £250m) a resumption of dividends and some further sales and large contract wins before the 6 month results. Until we have a resumption of dividends I can’t see the market wanting to pick up shares.
However from the annual report I do get the impression that action to try to lift the share price will be taken.

@ voli having looked again bidstats have already listed the £513m in March & repeat it again in April so I assume this must be a mistake and it is just the part 3 you refer to which represents the £50.6 m

Bidstats says the NI contract win is £513 m (worthy of an RNS) as opposed to the Capita RNS quoting £50.6m.
Or are these 2 different contracts?

Many thanks for all the info & let’s hope ( possibly with some prompting from you!) Stuart Morgan reports up to date figures in his Yellowstone presentation.
I do think it’s time for a statement on dividends even if this is for dividends to start in 2023.
This should be a game changer on share values if announced.

Reading through the report & comments I do get the impression that now the basics are in place attention is going to be given to getting a decent return for shareholders. There will have been meetings with the IIs over the last year and by not withdrawing support they must be relatively happy with medium/long term prospects .
With the £200m + from the 3 major sales completed since year end & prospects of further sales + income from operating profit there should be scope to reduce debt by at least £250m

I see Yellowstone are doing an update on Capita as presented by Stuart Morgan on 27th.
Hopefully he’s got some new positive news.

JG I do agree. Capita have a good story to tell & present it in the worst possible way usually with poor timing.
Now the turnaround is basically complete they need to be looking at their shareholders.

I would be surprised to see a bid but bearing in mind that a lot of institutional buyers have paid 40p + I think for a bid to be successful it would need to be north of 70p

Giant squid I agree broadly with your comparison with Serco although Serco is a bit bigger all round. However the main difference (& one of the major factors holding CPI back) is that Serco has been paying dividends for the last 2 years.
As you pointed out CPI margins are better than Serco & likely to improve further so with another £200m debt repaid & dividends reinstated we should fly but this may be another 12 months before that happens.
