BT - here’s my theory. SP has dropped well below the SP the Cassidy deal was valued at. I think Cassidy have asked to renegotiate the deal for cash instead of shares. It would be advantageous to HUM if they could get a lower price and no future overhang from sale of shares which would otherwise go to Cassidy and at one point would have been in profit. I think Hum are working on a revised deal and the sale of the Cora shares was to raise some of the cash required. Win win outcome if I am right. Cassidy get cash and no risk (they would otherwise have been holding HUm shares at a ‘loss’). Hum get a cheaper price for the asset and no future overhang. Pure speculation on my part but it makes perfect sense to me!

It’s a bargain already but somehow I suspect for not too much longer!

Combine that with the end of SC selling and we are onto a winner. Not advice. Please DYOR etc!

I am betting we get an RNS soon saying the deal with Cassidy has been renegotiated at Cassidy’s request to a cash deal at a better price for us. The deal was signed at 28.4p. The price had risen to 37p at completion so Cassidy were sitting pretty. However, by the time the payment was triggered (grant of licence) it had dropped to about 22p. Oops. I think Cassidy came cap in hand asking to renegotiate a cash deal and the sale of the Cora shares was part of trying to pull one together. Cash up front and no risk for Cassidy. Better price and no future overhang of Cassidy selling for Hum. Pure speculation on my part but makes sense to me!

Personally, I have no problem waiting until April for that to start kicking in.

The share price is a function of a persistent undisclosed seller, not the company’s performance, in my opinion. I am well down on this share but pretty comfortable that I will do well with it, eventually. Patience is all that’s required and I can manage that.

We are a fund with interests in several companies. Ed has explained many times that this means he is practically always in possession of inside information. He has also said, many times, that he is frustrated not to be able to buy at current prices, as a result of being inside.

Mid should be 21.25 as a matter of simple maths with bid at 21 and ask at 21.50

It’s not down by 7.73% or anything like. LSE have simply messed up the Mid point SP calculation, yet again! Christ knows why they can’t get this right. It’s not complicated.

Prices all over the shop again. Why the hell can’t they get this right!?

It’s a done deal at that SP though. I think maybe Cassidy are asking for some of the payment to be in cash instead of shares, but that’s a pure guess.
