Oi - am I invisible!? Have been busy posting in here, largely to myself, for a while. Have a good break. I see gold pushed through 1300 dollars earlier this am. Looking good. Hopefully even higher by the time you get back.

Bit of a jump here and some decent buying on the back of another announcement about the latest project to come to the exchange. Apparently a blue chip FMCG co has placed a 3 million dollar project over up to two years. It all helps and must eventually feed through into the bottom line.

You might also want to watch Kirkland Lake Gold. Not claiming to be much of an expert, holding only two gold miners, this one and Kirkland, but I like them both for different reasons. HGM has a good dividend return and good potential for capital growth but is in Russia, so maybe somewhat risky in a political sense. Kirkland has no dividend at the moment but is really turning the corner and is in a very safe jurisdiction (Canada). Lots of upside potential there in my view and has also been moving up with the price of gold. Has moved into profit with new management and a much more sensible business plan. Also has very good gold grades.

Nice step up so far this am. Fingers crossed it's just the start.

Stephen Harvey as a former CFO of Microsoft has a reputation to keep, so I am inclined to think he would not make rash promises just before the accounts are finalised. When they come out we should get some real info about revenue, and may yet see an upturn here.

Interesting comments Hootspur, and I am sure you are right that forward purchasing will constrict Airlines in passing on cost savings in the short term. Furthermore, because of tight margins Airlines may we'll be resistant to passing on anything like all of the eventual savings, preferring to favour increasing profit margins. So I agree there is controversy about the impact. Nevertheless, according to the Daily Mail on 21st December, some holiday prices are to already being slashed by up to 50 percent as a result of the lower cost of oil and a stronger pound. The International Air Transport Association have also said 'passengers will benefit strongly' as a result of lower oil prices and stronger economic growth. Duty for kids under 12 is also to be abolished as per the Chancellor's Autumn statement, so you may get your wish yet! My wish is for the share price here to bounce as I think it might if the more optimistic view on the prospects for travel in 2015 prevail. Best wishes

I empathise Ezee. I am holding a 89 percent loss myself, but I will hold and hope to reduce that for the reasons in my last post. Interesting that Letts allowed the CFO to front an interview. Maybe he has realised that he has lost credibility and is hoping a fresh face will help. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they can deliver the promised break even by the end of the year and positive cash flow next. If they can do that without seeking more cash (and the CFO was very confident about this) then we may, just may, see a bit of a recovery, but there is an awful lot of lost ground to make up. Hi Blue - I was beginning to think this board had been abandoned! You have missed a good jump today sadly but at the beginning of September this was at about 325p with gold at a similar price as today. Furthermore, we are now into profit after a period of losses, so it still looks good to me, but if gold drops back you may get a better price. dyor of course, but good luck!

Whilst I agree the sentiment, in as much as Blur seriously messed up by recognising revenue too early and thereby killing virtually all of the value in these shares when it had to own up, I will be holding here because: 1) not much more value to lose; 2) break even and positive cash flow now appear to be just around the corner, even on the basis of now recognising revenue on a more realistic basis; and 3) whatever I might think of Letts (and he has in the past been less than forthright in my view about the company's actual finances, as distinct from 'bookings' etc) he has a major stake here and will want to get more out of this for himself. I think this will go up from here, but it will take a long time to recapture the lost value.

....is all that is holding this back in my view. Quite extraordinary how this co seems to slip of the radar. Latest increases in gold price have yet to filter through to the price. All this needs is a bit of positive news flow to spark some more interest and the recent rise should continue and accelerate, in my view, but DYOR of course.
