The 123 account interest cut will have no effect on the divi paid, perhaps help sustain it, but you wont see any extra, if, and i do say if, it generates anything notable, it'll disappear in execs bonuses and pats on the back!!

at this one, the divi is i have to admit drawing my attention, but, as you guys have said, for a major business, the SP is all over the place, and stability is elusive. It does look like it's been growing stronger since late may early june time, and as you have said, it should be stronger

but i'm still holding, i want something back in return from this one, retail market place is a pig, and this ones suffered even though there seems to be a general upwards trend for that sector, it didn't show here

I was fortunate to get in at post brexit dip price levels, and as i plan to keep this one for a while, i took a look at the dividend from a cost perspective, and the interim just paid 2.3 % for me, and the projected yearly dividend comes out at about 8.1% of my cost, so i'm happy with that. and, if the share price doesn't jump too badly i'm going to re-invest i think, but, because we have to wait over a month for the money, plus my H&L ISA will only re-invest on the 11th and 21st of each month, at the reduced trading rate of 1% i'm stuck waiting till the 11th of Oct before i can re-invest, so i suspect it'll be less cost effective by then and i'll end up reconsidering.

that's not good, yes, after the official acceptance had been obtained, your shares would be effectively converted/bought regardless of your wishes, however, before that official vote/acceptance, steinhoffs offer is nothing but recommended...... by the spineless gits that negotiated their jobs above everything else, then folded at the first offer. you have nothing to lose by holding on as long as possible at this point, as you said, your in the hole for some cash regardless, might as well ride the rollercoaster all the way to the end, i feel there may be a couple more twists and turns to this ride yet, share centre are right currently, but they are being a bit presumptuous that this will go through with no resistance, and i think that's naive given the current state of affairs

wow that is a low-ball 2nd offer, this is looking like it's going down the tubes, could be a very short window for a buy back in if it tanks before someone else bids, but as i said, the current BoD would have to go if this falls through, because they've proven they are not interested in running the company

I would be topping up too if i could, but don't have the funds right now, although i am at a little more than i wanted in here, the current price offers me a chance to average down from .23 to .22 for a small investment, and bump my holdings to about 2 1/4 mil shares which would position me well for any increase

doesn't seem to like this share much, dropping there forecast to 450 ex-dividend yesterday or today, so seeing the usual drop back a little today, i havent looked at the trading volumes but i suspect they are quite high. Dividend for me on this one isn't much as i have only a small amount invested ,so it's growth i'm interested in, and i still see this as likely to go over 500 as the new legoland sites get closer to completion and actual summer season figures start siphoning through

looks like the release pipeline is now back on schedule, i'm sort of investing funds still, so havent bought in here, yet, but i am watching with interest and think i might be in here before too long depending how other things go.

I agree, I have to admit, I may have been able to squeeze a little more out of this had i held a week longer, but, the longer this goes on, the louder the little voice in the back of my mind gets, saying "this deal could go south"..... if that happens, as R1CHARDO said i think the SP will plummet, if that happens, i'll have to think seriously about whether to buy back in or not, at the time i bought in, things looked strong enough to warrant the purchase based on expected growth/potential take over. Since then however, the BoD have proven to not only be very spineless, but poor negotiators and have given a very clear signal that they 1. took care of themselves first in negotiations, and 2. have a very low opinion of the companies potential in regards to strength and growth of SP, given the speed they rolled over, accepted and promoted what was a very low ball offer.

yeah, i havent needed too either, however i am a simple customer, and dont have many needs, however, if i did have, then i would appreciate the high street branches much more, and i think having that sort of "direct access" is something you can't put a value on, and visible presence should not be underestimated. Nice steady blue day today again, i'm back in profit, barely, and am eyeing an exit point, i need a few grand for other investments, so i'm crossing my fingers for a few more rises like today. As for the take over, i'm not sure, i havent read much on it nor seen much news, but, as an investor, i looked at RBS and said "not chuffing likely!" .... so i could see the market reacting skeptically, and the SP plunging again if they think they are over-reaching

yeah, that is nice reading, i am liking the future planning and ensuring the provision of land and projects. Interesting read about the cancellations due to brexit now re-selling for more, and i'm sure there would have been some form of cancellation fee involved... .win/win I'm thinking i should have topped up last month while the price was a little lower and i had some spare cash, i've held from flotation, and happy with my buy in price, but mid-long term growth is looking healthy. Haven't seen anything mentioned anywhere regarding dividend yield, so i am especially interested to see what their plans are there.

still trying to work out with this one if it's worth me taking the reduced trading rate and letting HL re-invest my divi on this one, or if it'll not be worth it, my break even avg including fees is about 175, and working the figures on a rough share price of 215 at buy back time, pushes my average up and actual profit goes down ! I guess it'll depend on the share price at the time, but given i'm planning to keep these for a while, the current fall due to reason below might play into my hands if the price is low(ish) still at my re-invest date, which would look like the 11th of Oct based on the 22th Sep pay out, because HL auto re-invest on the 11th and 21st in muy ISA. Plus future dividend increases are worth considering.

given the ups and downs in this market sector, and the number of variables involved, this stock is proving quite resilient, i don't have a lot invested, probably should have bought more at the float, dividend could be a little better, but in the region of 1.4% is better than a kick in the teeth, and as i've held these since float, my average makes the dividend % a little better based on my investment.
