so is that it, off the last RNS? saying that the vote has gone through to accept the steinhoff deal ??

it's a bold move, some could see as over-reaching, and i'm sure will inject more volatility into the sp Santander however are not the only interested party, Lloyds apparently are also interested, and it would be careless of Santander to take their eye off the ball in relation to RBS

that'll be an interesting time, and if it does, i suspect they'll be an initial dip, potentially creating an opening for an ok entry point, if that's the case, i might be tempted to sell 4 or 5 grands worth of other shares to buy in here, but it'll need to be at the right price, because i'd like to hold for a while and reap some of the dividends, and not be in constant fear of it always being in the red for me!

from the sunday news article.... "Elliott has built a near 25% stake in Poundland, making it the retailer's biggest investor ahead of Steinhoff's 23.6% portion." that's a weird position to be in, with elliot holding more than steinhoff !!..... this could get messy

from what i've seen no, the spread is not so friendly on this one, and also share price movement is very slow

if this continues to fall, it'll hit the entry point i thought i'd missed, could time it just right as my merlin shares look like they are peaking, and as they say, timing is everything!

starting to feel very lonely, lol, and after brexit crash, it's taking it's sweet time to recover as well, this was an IPO punt for me, only about 1200 invested, was happy while it was sitting stably 40p up, but i guess should have seen the exit vote as a possible crippler, but, this hasn't recovered like others have, and still a way off till the first dividend i think, which is what i am interested in, feeling like a missed opportunity though to sell at 260-270 and buy back in after the brexit vote.

... @ 491.6 ... i might regret not taking that, but we'll see what the weekend brings, if it can consolidate todays rise with a steady start to the week, it's possible we might threaten 500 by this time next week. Didn't have anything i HAD to have the money for today, so decided to hold a little longer.

yeah, with the withholding tax being quite high, and re-invest fees fairly low, then re-investing at current share price range can prove quite fruitful,

this could backfire on elliot, how much does steinhoff hold, last i saw mentioned was 24.7% but obviously they too would have been buying, albeit via brokers i guess

whilst i fully understand the ride as a whole was not to blame for the accident that had such dire consequences, they really should have stripped that thing out and sold it off so it could be rebuilt and renamed elsewhere, it's going to be a millstone, any little glitch is now going to cause the share price to knee jerk. From a purely business point of view, it needs to go, period, spend this winter building a replacement attraction, that thing detracts from the whole experience and is constantly in the back of the minds of visitors, and it doesn't take much for that to come to the fore and deter them from visiting

in today's RNS, not setting the world alight, but quietly proceeding and meeting targets and getting the job done by the sounds of things, knew i should have jumped on this one when it was sub 100..... live and learn !!

hahaha, yeah you could call me that, or you could call me realistic.... afterall, what is history telling you ?? HSBA would be a good bet actually, and i was looking there last week and still am, but as i have money tied up here, i didn't want to risk selling here to buy into a high there, so will hold out here in the hope of a little more return, having lost on the shares i held outside of my ISA, my investment here in my ISA was intended predominantly to dig me out of that deficiet, and it's getting there.... slowly!

you think it would drop that far ? even if it went belly up, the real-estate has got to be worth a fair chunk, along with other assets. I think when i originally bought in, it was around 135, i could see it going back that far if they do pull out, perhpas to 125, but sub £1 i'm not so sure about.

If it does, it will tank, and i think i said a while back i'd be tempted to buy back in then, but, i think i'd need to see the spineless money grabbers go first

that's a better spread, but, it still stinks of manipulation, because the ask has barely moved yet again, and it's the bid that's closed the gap. with a .16 bid earlier, i was waiting for the ask to hit .19 i have to admit ! i wouldn't touch lloyds with a barge pole, and i'm not selling my merlin shares to top up here until i see a .20 ask

true, but, as said the sp is in the gutter, buy price should be way down with it, so we can top up if we want, but thats a good chunk over my avg price, yet i'm 1200 notes in the hole!! my crystal ball is saying i want another 1/2 mil of these, but not at that sort of spread... sod off mm's

wtf ! what is going on, is this all based on the delayed/late interim results, also with the agm so close, could it be feasible they may release them at that instead ? be it good or bad news, it can be controlled/managed better in that scenario
