I am afraid that I don't matherdj. They have been in the shares even longer than me (well over 10 years) and have supported endless capital raises over the years so will have accumulated shares at many different prices, some of them at considerable discounts to the market price. That said the price has never been any lower than over the last few weeks so I would imagine that their average entry price will be north of 2/3p per share and quite possibly considerably higher dependent on the quantity and price of their original purchase many years ago - when the price was up in the low teens....

Do bear in mind that to a certain extent Majedie are not in total control of what they buy or sell. Their performance of late has been pretty poor relative to their peers, so many individuals, IFA's and DFM's have been switching out of Majedie Funds and into those of competitors. When people cash in their chips Majedie have to liquidate the underlying investments and turn it into cash to pay out to their "disinvesting" private investors..... I suspect that if you look around there will be a lot more RNS's in recent and following days showing Majedie (and many others, by the way) liquidating investments.

For one final time - it is NOT the MM's that indicate whether it is a BUY or a SELL it is the LSE or any other website and the way that they choose to interpret the Stock exchange trading data.... The MM's offer NO indication of whether it is a BUY or a SELL they just announce the trading price; any interpretation that you wish to make is your own.

Ha vike, I see it didn't take long for those sellers to reappear..... dear oh dear. If you had been holding for as long as many of us why oh why would you be selling on the back of a 30% rise? Surely not "day traders" taking their very thin profits already?

Good volume vike? Well by recent standards at least but then, as you well know, it has always been something of "feast or famine" for AEX.....

If the "news" rumour mill was Ntorya License or PSA related I suspect that we would have seen something similar occuring with other Tanzanian gas players but I certainly haven't.

That said I am more than happy to see any interest in the price, the volume and the rumour mill. Let's just hope that it is more than just another false dawn.

Many moons ago Tanzania, in the dim and distant past, when JB was still the CEO he did state at the EGM that the licenses were expected t arrive "in batches" and that he "hoped" that AEX was in the first batch. That said an awful lot of water has passed under the bridge since then so it is questionable whether that assertion would still apply. There are an awful lot of companies considerably larger than AEX or even ARA that are in the queue.... but then few of them have as large a prospect as Ntorya, so what priorities will determine that order?

Yes bf I agree; particular with the huge number and the high profile of the Chinese business community in Tanzania; there will have been a lot of business travel to and from China long before the COVID epidemic became high profile. That said, according to previous reports, the CHinese in Tanzania do seem to keep themselves relatively isolated from the "locals". I remember seeing some time ago that the Chinese had even built their own towns in Tanzania to support their industrial investments.

They might also consider that with the limited resources that they could muster there is bugger all that they can reasonably do to fend off the inevitable; save for digging holes....?

They may consider that they are best served by ploughing on regardless?

I don't believe we can be confident that we have seen the bottom of anything yet. The Footsie and other key Exchanges have been up and down like a yo-yo and there is no certainty that they will not continue to do so - similar the price sof Oil, Gas and many other commodities methinks.

What a f*cking shambles.... someone needs to "go down" for this. Total contempt for shareholders and their interests. Now we have agreed to reduced compensation and despite now not needing the loan facility.... Why? Because Zen are totally incapable of meeting their obligations methinks. So rather than accept less go and find someone who can pay... Do we know one of those? Ooh let me think....

I too have a lot of AEX in both mine and my wife's ISA's (and SIPP) but as I am currently down a significant sum (6 figures) putting it in an ISA/ SIPP was a total waste of a Tax Free vehicle - I could now be using the Tax Loss if I hadn't and would probably have sold up a while ago to utilise that loss rather than watch the SP decline to the lowest point ever achieved....

It will have to rise a very long way for me ever to have to use mine or my wife's CGT allowance.

Ho hum. It all seems totally unimportant at present - I would happily give it all up just to see my close friends and family safely negotiate the current crisis.
