The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
"they got slaughtered last time for pre-announcing the fund raise."
Not just "they" LW - all shareholders got "slaughtered" as a consequence.... and some may never make it back. Thankfully I could compensate for the huge dilution and discount that early announcement predicated but not everyone could.
I would agree that the raise of £4.7m will cover the planning and determination of the work programme but that does not include the EWT which is part of a work programme. Other than that I would largely agree with you though I think that you have missed out one very significant item from your list LTHreader - the company will know how much funding is required at some future point but until the results of the EWT they will not know whether they have a commercial and sustainable helium (or hydrogen) discovery or will be able to complete the feasibility study that will get them the all important Mining License.
Now I would happily admit that I am personally confident from all we know that they will be able to do that after EWT, BUT nothing is guaranteed and even then it might require the completion of another one or two appraisal wells before they can complete that feasibility study.
Seriously, if the BoD had NOT released that RNS today would any of us have been worse off for not knowing what we now know? NO!
But one comment IG - if they announce a successful placing sometime soon, that will relieve any uncertainties this side of EWT. That would be a good news in my book and that might clear the way to an sp rise between now and EWT.
You may well be right IG. It was a notably underwhelming RNS that, just as many before, it answered a load of questions that no-one had been asking and NONE of the questions that everyone wants the answers to.
I am not sure that "company led placing" is an official term Chesh but my take on it was that He1 themselves initiated the placing and it did not go through their Nomad.... they had previously spoken about their being contacted by third parties and we speculated what that might have meant. Maybe, just maybe, that allowed them to source a suitable investor that had expressed interest in becoming involved. Peterhouse would have been involved to ensure that it was done appropriately with all necessary protocols and communications in place.
The first piece of good news today (from my perspective at least) is that we have tiked up off the bottom - no longer 1.25p bid but now 1.30p.
Let's hope it is the long awaited rally!!
I won't be holding my breath. It is a sit and hold now for circa 6 months unless a raise dictates another purchase to compensate for any dilution.
He1 probably put an embargo on any questions relating to funding - even at the AGM in December any questions from the floor in relation to overspend at Tai3 or the impact on future funding requirements were totally and explicitly blanked..... ironic really when they then let the market know that there needed to be one weeks in advance of it arriving!
The "figment of someone's imagination" is the bloody awful inane puerile drivel that he, or maybe, it posts.... anyone creating a satire of a Bulletin Board could not do it better! Utter drivel. But then he (it) has had plenty of mentors.
Ssccss the LSE interview is a month old - and awful! The URL in Castlepaul's post of 14.33 is a Proactive interview and current.
Oh and no Chesh I have not sold any today, though maybe wish I had - we are here for the long haul now and with no income that looks like dilution at some point soonish. Moreover I really could not find anything in that interview that is likely to reverse today's downward trend. She even seemed to infer that the EWT for Itumbula was not a certainty....
No Chesh I get no pleasure from it at all but I cannot bear the puerile, vacuous, hyberbolic claptrap that some posters on this board continually spout. It is really school playground stuff.
What was your take on the LB interview.
1.25p on the Bid now Doggydics, so when is it turning BLUE then?
You can currently BUY 500,000 @ 1.3135.
Oh don't worry systemzero, Doggydics tell us all that there will be a placing at 5p and something is going on....
Lol!
Carry on Doggydics and we will just continue to point out what a load of meaningless tripe it really is.
Lol, what a total load of utter nonsense - for your information you ignoramus there was no mention of a capital raise before the last one but it did not stop it happening!!
This man peddles vacuous drivel.
1.30 - 1.35p now - Lorna is going to need one hell of an interview performance to pull this sp decline back to parity anytime soon.
So why your concern about dilution if you are not expecting a cap raise? Or is yours a "just in case" worry?
Indeed and just to prove the point that he is a worthless liar and snake oil salesman - the sp has just reached its lowest bid of the day at 1.30p.
Any comments DiscoDog?
