Got to read the press releases carefully as they're very cleverly wrote. The South Kecapi well test was "constrained by testing equipment" (bad planning??), and the choke was "6,000 bopd on a 52/64” choke", which is almost fully open. I can't find any further details on the well test, but I would be interested to know what duration they flowed the well for.
SMDR identified the dreaded water contact in the already thin sands then admitted no further interest in S.Kacapi in favour of Bedug.."Having established the oil-water contact in the primary target reservoir section, Salamander has elected not to undertake the previously planned down-dip side-track of the well, rather attention turns to the up-dip potential in the Bedug structure".
I read on Investor Village that their interest is 9.5% in SInphuhorm, so yes that's a nice little earner for them.
