I think CH in his last proactive outing said modi1 was going through toxicology testing now... which to me sounds promising as that is the last pre-clinical step...

It is most interesting in how little scancell is fitting itself in with BioNtech/Genentechs quest for a practical universal vaccine solution for all cancers... especially when you consider the amount of money that relationship has already invested and spent on the project.... they will have all seen what cytotoxic CD4 T cells can do to tumours by now... This will be why CH will be confident even if the GC is not won project blueprint will not just be binned

Think it is a wait and see situation... of this year's finalists project blueprint looks to be the standout... and yes modi3 is basically a modi1 modi2 combo... how many possible modi combos could there be in the future? the mind boggles .... remember Sahin and Lindy have been looking at modi1 and modi2 together already.... I do not think the lab work part of our BioNtech collaboration will take another year considering it is already a year in and by AGM a significant first phase of the collaboration had been reached plus CRUKs 20 grand already given to project blueprint will have been spent on something... maybe something that included preclinical work on modi3? ..

I did not say there would not be multi winners just we should not assume... it is even possible there will more than 4 winners... . I can't see anywhere where they say how many winners there will be that they did fund 4 last year is encouraging and that project blueprint is the only vaccine one does bode well though... not so long to find out either!

It's a £20million prize... last year they generously let 4 winners have 20 mill each ... I do not think we can assume the same for this year ... however, if they have the funds and like the contestants enough they have shown they are willing to do that..... As for if project blueprint wins what and where the funds go is simple it goes to get the concept trial completed... so scancells share would be in covering the development of modi3 ...also I see no IP issues or distractions and only positives in getting a freebie trial and very hard to treat targets working with BioNtech/Genentech etc utilising their techs too...RG answered a question in his last proactive event and said the GC raised no IP diluting issues...

No, I think it was more to do with the CI already dominating the melanoma target with fast approved commercial products pushed by Merck and BMS you would think SCIB1 might have attracted another pharma in need of Immuno assets though but sadly so far not happened....which why we now look to do a CI combo trials with SCIB1/2... we simply are too small to make waves and get our products anywhere commercially....modi 1 will surely be different due to it's targets clinical success there ought to cause a real market reaction... I wonder also could moditope help Adaptimmune and others out with it's TCR troubles... certainly a BioNtech deal there will do no harm and will get the attention of all TCR players who all seem to have zero problems in raising cash on no real results...bizarre...

Re-listened to RG's last proactive event recording done as CH was unpacking his house move boxes... from earlier this year... the 'left field' news one... seems to me we are missing some news here... we know that things take time and events change things but... RG must have had more irons in the fire than BioNtech and CRUK so... we may yet be in for some surprises... and it sounds like commercial action to me... hmm

I agree with C7 I think there are enough potential positive RNS's to get us back to at least 20's... Though going off history then have say Knowlesi could also be correct ... we will see.... anyways I expect scancell still to be here next year I am not so sure about that other baby bio though

Would not do a deal on moditope until it is sure moditope can even go into a human trial... a HUGE amount of work as been done to get moditope in the form of modi 1 trial ready the collaboration with ISA for AMPLIVANT adjuvant has been vital as has been working with polypeptide to actually successfully manufacture modi1/amplivant into a usable clinical product... add to that the granting of vital patents... so I would suggest it is actually only now that any pharma could actually justify doing a deal on moditope... will they though or will they wait on clinical data... I do not know I did notice no mention of 'in talks' etc in the last Final Results which was strange seeing as they featured in the prior ones.

Well, I think the fact that moditope is unlike anything else and the manufacture of it has not been smooth and is the first time anything like it has ever been made does mean getting a deal probably has meant getting that product to a certain point... I would say if the manufacture is now on with all problems overcome and preclinical toxicology tests are done and past then it becomes that much more deal attractive.... Lindy very well might be so confident in it that she is not happy in doing a deal on it at this stage knowing what can be expected on results.... though that is not the usual way usually anyone willing to pay for the pleasure of the risk/reward are welcomed in lol... especially considering our low sp and fact that we can afford to get modi1 trial going but not to finish it... still who knows maybe there will be some news there yet.

I suppose he means over the years we have been given timelines for trials that just have not come true... the SCIB1 situation is unfortunate and sp has taken a right spanking for it... but that trial still looks like it will happen even if it only happens in UK... modi1 well that is looking good to go 2019 seeing as manufacturing process is underway and the problems with that process have been overcome... so 2019 should really really really be the year of trials!

Knowlesi, can't disagree though I suppose we can say we have cut a deal already on SCIB1 witch could leade to that products commercialisation but yeah no 'money upfront' black and white figures attached commercial deals have been cut..... Still the signs for this BioNtech TCR one are looking very good... was originally modi1 only we know they are also looking at modi2 we know phase one of whatever it is they are doing is complete and went well we know Lindy and Sahin have a very good working relationship... CRUK grand challenge is confirmation of that and we know the BOD are 'working very hard on the deal' think those were Chippers words at AGM which sounds like talks are not just lab based to me... also might not mean anything but BioNtech were supposed to start their first TCR trial in 2017 and as far as I can see it has not happened... why?.... maybe moditope has made them think differently? maybe... I'm sure seeing what cytotoxic CD4 killer cells can do to tumours has an influence .... but still till it happens it has not happen... to me still looks most likely and would indeed be transformational to scancell as would mean scancell can indeed do commercial deals would mean we get some tech valuation would mean all other TCR players and others would go oh we need to look at this seeing as they would all know BioNtech would be doing the deal based on lab evidence it has seen itself... and all at no dilution of IP, almost too good to be true lol
