Yes, side effects are usually due to the fact that treatments are not just cancer specific... scancells treatments are cancer-specific they target only cancer cells and nothing else.... they are also much cheap(er) to produce and administer than other treatments and are off the shelf products.... I find it hard to believe we are not being very closely looked at by the many competitors (not just Genentech and BioNtech) in the I/O space as they all have pipeline problems.

Completely agree with that C7 and wish you well for tomorrow.... We have heard nothing more on SCIB2 CRUK combo trial since we got to know it will use a nano-vesicle delivery a year ago at the Calculus event though I've been told in an email that the collaboration with CRUK and indeed BioNtech are 'solid' which is encouraging... we don't need weekly progress reports but you know at least every 6 months would be nice :) ...hopefully that SCIB1 trial will start soon and other news arrives to turn everything around... because though they need the trials to prove it I do agree with nana the mechanisms of scancells techs look like they work and work well due to Lindy's scientific understanding and practical abilities to tweak patients immune systems into recognising cancers ,SCIB1 already having that all important clinical data to back that up in mono now just needs to show it can improve the market-dominating product that is Keytruda....come on scancell!

Yeah and it's not like Lindy is working on anything but scancell techs....she has even brought in the glycan MAB tech....I think it's very good cost effective model

And imagine if a new better approach could be found which due to a patent landgrab position means you could leapfrog all competitors and they would have to come to you to get in on it ....the I/O space is far from being certain despite what Merck seem to think with their one dominant product midset :)

Yes, Wild that is the other very vital thing toxicity... and looking at all the work done so far and at other peptide vaccines it does seem like it will be safe and only target cancer and not go all CAR T bonkers or CI associated non cancer immune reaction side effects.... It really is looking good..... and I do wonder who is closely looking at it... we have just seen Astra have a complete and costly I/O pipeline rethink...

And that pretty much explains it... till a trial in humans not one of us can confidently say for sure anything!...however... my feeling is it will have an 'effect' simply due to fact it has been so extensively tested in humanised mice and using both healthy human donor blood and cancer patient donated blood.... and it shows an effect in them all... so to me it looks like the mechanism works... and that is what Lindy is getting at the science behind it is clear but until trials the actual potency is unclear :).... come on those 'trials'

On things working and risk... this is what Lindy says:

Scancell could even become a lead player in the landscape, if Professor Durrant’s optimism is well-placed.

“SCIB1 is in the clinic and it’s working,” she said. “Moditope is a different way of looking at things. In animals, it’s been amazing, but it needs to work in humans. It could be huge, it could be small – hopefully it’s significant.”

Yeah ,a nice little article I think Lindy must think highly of Ruhul.....this is something I do not get with some making an issue of Lindy keeping her Notts position... we get staff through it and students working on moditope and ImmunoBody!...Also BioNtech is just the same in their set up the relationships between academia and pharma I think will lead to many more novel future treatments

Yes, very interesting posters and also the new article under scientific papers.... Shows how much continual work is going on with moditope and the understanding of it only grows.... very excited to see how it develops and gets into the clinic.

On the Astra Zeneca I/O restructuring.... have they given up on trying to compete with Merck and BMS in the CI market?... they certainly seem to be having a big rethink that will be costing them a small fortune no doubt...

Don't think the shutdown affects scancells FDA issue as we applied last July and shutdown only affects new applications... though certainly probably does not help... hopefully that is all over now but who knows with this president lol

Our trial is 25 patients doubt Ichor need more staff for that but maybe... they do have bigger clients than scancell I wonder when Pfizer will use the new device seeing as they helped pay for it... least they do not seem to be about to go bust ! :) .... personally, I would be glad to get away from them and electroporation all together and really seems scancell are working hard to that end :) but for current SCIB1 we are stuck with them...Still good finds Tommy

I doubt it is to with an FDA audit... We are told it is to do with the 'device' as it is new... Ichor though might have been slow in their reactions... that is something I kinda picked up from scancell emails basically FDA deals with both scancell and Ichor separately...Ichor has told scancell they have submitted everything asked for. You would think seeing as he is their San Diego neighbour Chippers would be on top of them
