Exactly Inanaco, what I'm getting at is our collab with BioNtech fits with the way they were thinking already.... we could have just what they need to rapidly identify those neoantigens that will work and not the majority that won't

I'm no scientist however what I think this paper is showing is the TCR candidate identification technique using peptides being explored by scancell and BioNtech is obviously of great prior interest to BioNtech and others...

Using moditope peptides:

'Citrullinated & homocitrullinated antigen-specific T
cells recognise the non-polymorphic HLA-DP4 so
are applicable to at least 70% of patients'

It fits with this:

'Our findings indicate that combining HLA peptidomics with neoantigen predictions allows robust identification of targetable neoantigens, which could successfully guide personalized cancer immunotherapies.'

Basically using peptides to find the targetable neo antigens......

It is very hard using AI to find the few out of thousands of neoantigens that will elicit a targeted T cell attack ....moditope could be key?

Notice the involvement of BioNtech....

Yes, scancell are confident about moditope been clinically relevant... however, we all know the way these things are done is you are far better off with the support of someone who can finance it and lessen the risk to us! And obviously if they fully 'get it' too is of great benefit ... No need to tell BioNtech and Genentech as they are aware... would think there will be many others too...

The other massive thing to point out is.... Team science scancell would be a valuable asset to any IO player...I've said it many times before here pharmas could have saved themselves $$$millions by just asking Lindy... will this work?

I agree about BioNtech we could make very good bedfellows ...how such a partnership would work funding wise is harder to see than a Genentech partnership deal type one that we have seen them do many times...
The main thing about such a partnership is getting into trial/s and then having the capability of commercialising products on supporting data... and let's face it both those companies have the set up's to do that.

There are many potential deals... but personally I would prefer a platform partnership on moditope of course Lindy would have to be happy with whoever it is as in she would need to trust them and be in control of her baby but with big money backing and access to other top scientists and labs and techs... moditope could fly fast... step forwards genentech! :)
though you never know BioNtech could be the ones.... they might want to have more than just TCR... the structure of a deal with them would be interesting seeing as they do not have a Genetech bank balance but they have the rest and Lindy is already close to Sahin ..
