SCIB1 is not better at treating melanoma than Keytruda... scancell know the potential and limitations of SCIB1 now from its broad patient trial results the question was asked of Sally at an AGM and she said if they ran a mono trial in late-stage unresected patients which we already have in I think 8 patients of our last trial they would not get a result better than keytruda... 20%-30% effectiveness.... the thing is both Keytruda and SCIB1 work very differently Keytruda removes blocks that cancer put in the way of the immune system meaning suddenly T cells can 'see' the cancer and SCIB1 targets the cancer by using cancer-specific antigens and boosts the immune response with high avididty T cells ...cancer can use tricks to block SCIB1 and cancer can still fight off T cells that once blocks have been removed recognise it but cannot sustain a full-on targeted attack... however cancer finds it very hard to fight T cells programmed to target it and with the blocks removed.... perfect combo partner! remove the breaks and push on the gas... more data needed... data coming!...

We have heard that... however, it is not true on certain diseases, late stage melanoma cannot be gamed ..Keith Flaherty knows that and as an expert in his field wants to be involved in SCIB1 progression as current data is 'compelling' ... Kite and Juno... all very tiny trial sizes yet sold up for 9 and 11 $billion... If modi1 does as it could in 60 patients you could expect the same reaction... terminal patients no longer terminal and (hopefully) in many cases cured....
I really think with SCIB1 it was in the right place but at the wrong time... times have changed

SCIB1 came along as a cancer vaccine when all cancer vaccines were failing some very big Glaxo lost a huge amount on one.. no pharma could justify paying for a cancer vaccine to their stakeholders... and also Checkpoint Inhibitors came along and became the thing to have as they were successful and Merck and BSM for 2 went in on them big time and have turned them into blockbuster treatments... though at best they are only effective on 30% of patients and have toxicity issues ...however with big pharma backing they have become the dominant treatments... melanoma,SCIB1s primary target is now routinely treated using Checkpoint Inhibitors... this is why now there is to be a combination trial SCIB1 plus market leader Mercks Keytruda... to get that 30% effectiveness up hopefully above 50% and with no added toxicity... SCIB1 has had a very successful mono trial where you could well imagine if there were no checkpoint inhibitors SCIB1 would indeed have been snapped up by now ...however, it took years to gather that data in those years other cancer vaccines after cancer vaccine failed... and the melanoma market was taken by big pharma Checkpoint Inhibitors... SCIB1 required third-party electroporation ... another deal hurdle.... the picture has changed now Checkpoint Inhibitors need combo therapy partners the pharma are in competition to get the best combos. SCIB1 pre clinically looks to be the perfect partner-backed by actual clinical data too... and the electroporation deal hurdle has been removed ( however will be used in coming trial but on proof of effectiveness a partner could choose to go nano delivery route) .......There was pharma interest in the SCIB1 mono trial and we have been told we got very close to a deal only for it to fall through at the pharmas BOD level as they could not stomach doing a cancer vaccine deal at that time(Glaxo £billion vaccine went down the drain) pharma are not full of cutting edge Immunologists...this is how the likes of BioNtech are moving in pharma will be in danger of losing future immuno onco market due to them not 'getting it' though they really really get Checkpoint Inhibitors now $$$$$ (they did not in the beginning though) ...times have changed cancer vaccines are back the science and understanding around Immunotherapy is moving in scancells direction ...and scancell is not a one trick pony ...2 platforms multiple products both clinically ready and potentially plus a glycan MaB platform we are yet to be fully introduced to... I think the deal/s will come..... BioNtech TCR partnership due to come to a conclusion in June.

I'm supposing the analogy is getting in on companies that ended up becoming massive before they became massive... I bet a lot of early Apple investors (that held out or forgot they had shares) ended up well happy :) but I doubt many had an idea how big the Apple would become... Here we do have a more clear idea seeing as it really will eventually be totally about clinical data and effectiveness of products in treating cancers...some data already in (great) more to be expected next year in at least 3 products in at least 5 cancer targets... though it might take FDA 30 years to approve US arm of SCIB1 combo that is true :) ...

That was not me... think was bob... there is a chance of BioNtech soon announcing a further collaboration project with scancell... as this was something Chippers is said to have mentioned in conversation at the proactive do... if so I would think it would probably be TCR using modi2... however ... dunno :)

Interesting story indeed....And goes to show that Keytruda an asset worth multiple £billions with the patent around the science behind it not owned by any one company and now so very valuable to all those stakeholders... At 5p people here are buying into a tech that could possibly begin to eclipse the likes of keytruda by the end of next year not to mention other techs in the pipeline that could make keytruda much more effective with no added toxicity also known next year.... and the patents around the science all completely owned by scancell... put a value on that!..... I do not think scancell will be short of people wanting to speak to them in a couple of weeks in Philly ...

Yes Ray would be good to hear more about the nano delivery... what will CRUK license from who etc.. though for whatever reasons that info at the moment is kept from us... like we know though this is an area Lindy and her Notts friends are themselves working on in the labs so yeah it is possible scancell will have their own self created delivery in time.. it sounds from RNS that whatever nano delivery has been chosen has already been tweaked up for ImmunoBody...'The nanoparticle technology utilises known lipid carriers that are optimised to deliver SCIB2 DNA to immune cells.' ... all a very interesting area and one BioNtech did a deal around with Genenvant last year... Scancell the poundland BioNtech has got in on this cutting edge tech without need of a costly deal... thank you CRUK

Honestly, I do not think there is any Ichor conspiracy with FDA etc... they will want that trial as much as if not more than scancell... they want to get their new device to be commercial.. a device helped paid for by Pfizer and seems are more than happy to provide for approved UK arm... no the problem there is all FDA related and the slow grind of bureaucracy ....totally agree with scancell doing the right thing in moving into nano delivery though and without doubt Ichor will have their sad faces on in Philly when everyone gets together :) but for ImmunoBody to be as attractive as possible moving away from a third parties device makes complete sense... like I said yesterday the chance of a SCIB1 chinese PD1 combo now becomes a real sell for scancell no need to have to get an electroporation device involved a whole layer of complexity lifted... Also CRUK did the SCIB2 deal it seems... knowing it would not use an electroporation device... they have been very very helpful to scancell and shows their respect for Lindy and her work

21p would be a good start ... but I think a BioNtech licensing deal gets us over 50p and I think a modi1 partnership gets us to a quid... and both together £1.50 going into 3 trials where data could multiple that a good few times... that's my accurate formula 'valuation' :))

Should not grumble though as I'm still nibbling and today is a piece of the jigsaw I've been hoping for a long time..and hopefully now its full steam ahead for SCIB2 another trial that could go from one initial target to many more and all covered for by CRUK... anyways as you say still plenty to come here... SCIB1 news...FDA green light... Glycan MaBs... BioNtech...further possible collaboration using modi2 tech ..the modi1 TCR licensing deal... modi1 getting a partnership deal.... Chinese opportunities...who knows what else... scancell full of surprises...
