I'd really hope any deal done would do us better than that :) With the kinds of disruptive techs scancell has it would not be impossible to imagine a deal with over $100 million in an upfront payment attached-headline value in the billions... thinking modi1 here... But we will see, I'm hopeful of a successful conclusion of the BioNTech collaboration and the increase in value that would add with no dilutive effect....that would be the perfect springboard and stepping stone.... interested in learning more about the MABs and attached platform tech too...

Ruck you're supposing scancell become a big bio which is inanaco's preferred outcome too...ARM holdings and all that... I'm not sure that is how the story ends here... the big buyout is still very much a common narrative... where the Kite and Juno type valuations become possible... also the possibility we could somehow merge or become a part of a bigger fish with a cash payment and shares in that company... post-NASDAQ listed BioNtech? I don't know , all I know is if moditope does what it could then scancell could become the number one onco Immuno company in the world ...capable at treating most if not all cancers in a majority of patients at all disease stages.... Is there anything out there comparable? CI's expected to have a market share of $30 billion a year by 2025 ... not effective in all cancers effective in at best 20-30% of sufferers of those cancers ... toxicity an issue etc... So to me your 50p-£1.50 is fine and goodness knows it would be great to be near 50p already!... and inanacos 8 quid looks fantastical at this stage but may end up being a very conservative prediction indeed by 2021 when we will have a much clearer data based idea of values here...

Though consider what could be the coming BioNtech deal (we hope) ...I would call that undiluted fundraising... no new shares issued money upfront and no IP is given away as they would simply be licensing modi1 tech to use in the creation of TCRs to target specific cancers ...in fact it would only add to IP as it would mean an independent valuation of moditope in the TCR setting plus huge validation of the science of moditope considering it would be the result of a long preclinical collaboration.... now a modi1 partnership, on the other hand, yes that would be IP dilution in exchange for what would hopefully be substantial upfront funds plus milestones and cost covering of lab work and trials etc... As for valuations really at this stage personally all I know is what scancell has in its pipeline could be massive and that the current sp does not reflect that making this a very attractive risk/reward share... Yes and will know that it was not a simple task to get Vulpes in seeing as they had tried back in his day... the company now must be more attractive to them that it was back in 2015... well the shares are certainly a lot cheaper lol... As ever I just hope that is the last dilutive raising we ever need but too early to know that yet as we will indeed need more funds next year but a lot can happen by then and we ought to have at least 2 trials dosing patients in 4 cancer targets ...

I'm not quite at 200k yet lol... more 185k but gaining :) ... of course our holdings could be so much bigger if only we 'knew' but that's the nature of this game... Chippers is down Calculus, Hygea and OXT all have shares bought for more than Vulpes... However, the potential has never been greater of this multi bagging on the right news making all current holders instantly happy :)
Was very heartened to see Evans take a whopping million shares as he positively reacted to Vulpes coming in ....must have hurt a few on the doom side that :) what a holding he must have now! And he is someone who knows this company more than any of us and has no need to be buying shares out of any 'duty' he saw the Lindy glint in the beginning and has never lost faith in that would translate into value ... a long hard road but we are getting to where we need to be... in the clinic treating those who have ran out of options and a huge market just waiting to be tapped into...

I suppose getting funds in though hard is often achieved by AIM companies the only problem is it usually not done in current pi holders friendly ways i.e big dilution at an sp much lower than most have bought shares at and then newly issued shares dumped on the market as soon as profitable by the new owners... So our raising is typical in at least 2 of those ways but the third is why we have seen an sp rise and not usual fall on such news Vulpes are in it for the longterm the newly issued shares will not be dumped at 10% profit...And the validation of them seeing the worth and potential in scacell plus it does suggest any future raisings if needed will be positively influenced by them being in and on board.... I do not particularly want them to end up owning scancell though only for them to take it off us for a song and sell to a Merck the week after for a massive amount :))) that was I think an early worry in OXB as through Vulpes and Diggle own holding they were very close to owning the company... that worry did not play out there though and they have since brought in funds from other ii....

Anyways like yourself, I think now getting to your average 14p (and my 15p) is more likely than 3p which was not the case at the beginning of last week :) positive newsflow is all it should take... and there are plenty of possibilities there

Still, think we could get a partner on modi1 this year as the trial does have such potential and if it does need to be expanded it will be the most exciting but also a rather expensive trial... scancell now having funds to actually get into trial will not have gone unnoticed to the multiple potential partners scancell have been in talks with.....science behind it understood and proven in many humanised mouse models and donated bloods from humans both healthy and cancer sufferers, worldwide patented, manufacturing sorted, CAB in place and money to get it into the clinic .... attractive mucho!

Yes, Which is why modi1's CAB is so invaluable... If moditope is showing itself to work effectively in the 3 initial targets it could/would rapidly be expanded into up to 15 more targets under the eyes of some of the most influential oncology clinicians in the UK making it potentially the most exciting and game-changing immunotherapy and indeed oncology trial ever....we can add ....fast-tracked to commercialisation and priceless to that as you would certainly think our CRUK,NHS and NICE linked CAB would make sure moditope was available to all in need ( a lot of desperate patients) as soon as possible.....and If all it takes is one therapeutic dose with no toxicity issues as it does in animal models then what a good position to be in and I'm sure the US would take note ...

It comes down to what is someone willing to pay... so if scancells end is to be a buyout it is what the buyer is willing to pay and if it is not to be that then it is what anyone is willing to pay for shares...of course the biggest influencing factor on both of those will be how attractive the company and its techs are and ultimately how effective in treating patients they are....

Well from my research into such deals we would be looking for at least $10 million upfront per target and then milestones.. so I think BioNTech can easily afford the upfront on at least one target... But sure BioNTech are not yet in Big Pharma league with the cash to splash... however, due to them having a relationship with and willing to work with scancell I think things could be worked out :)) ..... It would make us all very happy and make the Diggles look like geniuses ....

Ahh ok I get you... well no we do not know such terms but I thought from what Sean Marrett said they had earmarked part of the $270 million they raised just before the collab that some of that money was to be spent around their TCR program...So to me I'd think money would not be the problem it would be more does it work or not and is Sahin happy to go forward with it...

Surely it will be about what ' T cell receptors specific for citrullinated epitopes from vimentin and enolase' have been characterised? .... if none then no licensing deal if many then BioNTech choose the ones they wish to go forwards into the clinic with and license them... no?....

I think is clear from original RNS:

'Under the terms of the agreement, Scancell and BioNTech will enter into an initial research collaboration to discover and characterise T cell receptors specific for citrullinated epitopes from vimentin and enolase. These epitopes form the basis of Scancell's first Moditope® development candidate, Modi-1. Upon completion of these studies, BioNTech will have the exclusive option to enter into a licence agreement for the development of cell receptor based therapeutics that are specific to Modi-1 epitopes.'

So studies conclude and then they either come to a licensing agreement or they do not... as far as we know the studies are still ongoing but are/were expected to conclude in June which is now... of course it could well be studies continue we know with these things they do not always or even ever go to timescale plan.. could be a niggle to overcome or maybe not but anyways at some point they conclude and with a licensing deal is done or is not and that will have nothing to do with BioNtechs possible NASDAQ IPO... it will have everything to do with Sahin saying 'lets do it'... of course having a TCR program advancing into the clinic would do no harm to their attractiveness to potential US investors ....But if they do not wish to go forwards with modi1 tech and the collab went really well.... there are lots of other TCR players and a whole lot of preclinical data and know-how will have been gained for scancell to take forwards.... Adaptimmune next door might well be interested for one... I'm sure we will hear more on it in the coming weeks

I do not see the raising as negative towards gaining a BioNtech deal... that is a research collaboration that is supposed to end this month then on results BioNtech has an option to license modi1 tech......Sure you would think they know how well the lab work is going that does not mean they know what BioNtech are thinking.... scancell was running out of cash and has work to do - 2 upcoming trials for a start... If someone like Vulpes comes along and says let me in now I think you take the money....If anything it means BioNtech know now scancell are not desperate and if a deal is to be struck it will be a sensible one.....the money brought in with vulpes is not enough to complete trials so more money will be required and we now nicely set up for deals as by next cash call there should be 2 trials running and data.......Anyways all kinds of possibilities like I said who knows maybe CRUK would like to run the modi1 trial a trial that could fast expand into 18 cancer targets if it is showing results (which it would rather quickly) Lindy is close to them... head and neck is a target born of CRUK grand challenge/project blueprint and is a target CRUK are particularly keen on as indeed are the other 2 prime targets for mod1... and we have that very impressive well connected not least to CRUK CAB now... just a thought but I for one would be happy with SCIB2 type deal on modi1 so long as it was guaranteed that trial would begin ASAP as in end of this year beginning of next as soon as tox testing completes.... But anyways... no the letting in of vulpes at this stage does not indicate either a negative or positive as regards BioNtech it just indicates we needed cash and now we have a very good investor/partner onboard meaning money to get to where we need to be should be much less of a problem in the future and dare I say it making scancell a much more attractive company to others wanting to do deal/s

So... how to look at that... either some other income will come or there will be another raising next year..... chances are though sp would be much higher... still risk/reward here but today a great investor joined us with the validation they bring and cash, of course, to have onboard as todays sp action has shown... of course we all want them to have bought shares at 20p but this is AIM... I'm still confident our time is coming and we will get a break ...plenty of assets to get commercial deals on after all
