That we are in the very hot area of coming up with vaccine answers to covid that at the moment everyone is interested in may make this time different I simply can't believe no pharma is at least interested so long as they know there will be a trial-ready product

Yes, she is not one for wordplays... she will frankly tell what is known what is likely and what is unknown... And until any product goes into human trials you simply do not know the outcome but what we do know about team science scancell is they use data to improve the techs - no sleeping :)

I think it probably is them just being professional ... If Covidity is now ready to go into trial (it might not quite be) but if it is I can think of no better moment for SKY to hit the labs again!... The momentum for vaccine solutions to what is clearly not a simple one vax cover all virus is massive ... now you would also think pharma are not blind to any of this either! ...

Cliff is not the most natural of presenters unlike RG however I thought that overview of where scancell currently are was fine I agree he was probably glancing at notes at the beginning part and he seemed more focused when talking covidity It sounds like the original chosen vaccine 'lead candidate' is the one going towards trial but that there is another indeed there are many other versions which is nothing unusual BioNTech have the quite a few too that will be better suited to tackling mutations as they arise.... The most important take... 'VERY high avidity T cells' specific against the N protein ... It's the big difference to Notts vaccine and others and would be I think what hopefully gets us a pharma partner to join us....

The PhD will also directly aid attempts to translate antibody and peptide-engineering knowhow to generate a rapidly deployable and safe immunisation system for multiple complex diseases.'

What I think is from a scancell perspective this GOV is pro vaccines so that can only be a positive for us as the success in the UK vaccine push has done the GOV no harm our vaccine is a UK one and it fits in with the whole need for 2nd gen vaccines which is coming into play already.... so a good place to be so long as we can indeed get a trial-ready vax ASAP going off AGM that was the way we were heading a lot will be to do with getting that peptide delivery perfected...hopefully, positive news on progress soon...

I think Booms point is the UK Gov were fast in backing and securing doses for the UK from multiple vaccines ... both my parents have had the BioNtech first jab and are soon to have their second jab.... So yeah it does seem their proactive stance on vaccines compared to others more sluggish reactive approach is paying off...
I do not think the investment in Covidity is just token chump change it has the purpose of backing that vaccine to the point it can progress into trial... and with current news all about vaccines and new virus strains and the turning nasty international vaccine competition this UK vaccine has a good chance of progressing into a trial... backed by whom of course is the question... more Gov money? yes, I think so but really needs a pharma partner...

I think the main thing is the bad news of an sp destroying huge dilution at 5p and zero progress is not going to be arriving here, at least not for a year or three:).... And so with the amount of activity on the pipeline of 3 platforms each with substantial disruptive potential in a very hot area means the newsflow is likely going to be sp positive... There is a list of likely and possible coming news but I think we all know what the dream would be and no it is not being swallowed up for 21p by Americans lol which btw I think is not on the list at all.

Been super busy lol and well since funding there isn't much to say here seems we have our redmile sp line which is good seeing as my average is under it lol and we are just waiting on what will come next (trials please!)... Ray did you see Lindy's vid presentation?... at least 30 citrullinated epitopes now characterised..as ever lots going on in the lab

WTP my understanding is after publication meaning it is now viewable to anyone interested the claim is next examined and hopefully eventually granted though the whole process is a lengthy one so a few more years yet till it is granted but certainly now any interested parties can see what scancell are up to with avidimab/glycans....
