Not2sure, thanks for your concern but I am just getting warmed up! It is just a pity that I have to go to play rehearsals in a few minutes or I think I would have enjoyed setting a few people straight. WWW, I need to take issue with you. Firstly, what do you mean when you said you "called me out"? I've got nothing to apologise or be 'called out' for. I have always been very transparent about my involvement in Sound Energy. Secondly, you state our problem has always been lack of permeability but that is not the major reservoir risk. If you were present when we very successfully mechanically stimulated TE6 you would know that: Porosity has always been the major worry factor. Thirdly, I don't like your tone towards me. I have plenty of skin in the game and have much to lose if it were to fail completely. But I am confident in our current drill plan and our 'Plan B' & I am sure that very soon the next FSC date will be finalised & there will also be many questions regarding it.

Soundinvestor, I really don't know what you mean when you say "liquidate your SIPP". One can drawdown on a SIPP & of course take a 25% tax free lump sum...but liquidate. You have lost me on that one. As for my 'clique little group'...are you suggesting I have a mole in my coterie...oh dear! You'll be saying crop circles are created by alien life forms next and that the Americans never really landed on the moon...............

Soundinvestor, yes I well remember that investor speech I gave at the Shard...it was my honour to be personally asked by James. Anyway, let me elucidate: I haven't liquidated my SIPP I have added Sound shares to it over the last few years, mainly by cashing in some old pensions I had knocking around. I also never 'casually stated I sold out'...I sold some shares at 89p to pay off my mortgage, but I retained most of my holding & have since added over the last couple of years. Regarding the world cruise...since my wife has recently been unwell we made the decision to pare down the duration of the cruise & decided to limit it to Central America & the Caribbean. Anyway, we set sail on 16th December & return late January.

Cabey, we had Western Geco & Shearwater both interpreting the seismic from different perspectives. It looks like they found reservoir rock but porosity was so poor there just wasn't any gas. I don't think there is any way of determining what porosity is like though seismic until you start analyzing mud core samples & the wireline logs. I think they will soon announce an FSC and for sure the seismic interpretation will be high on the list of questions...probably fielded at Brian!
I'm going to ask him if he can give us a more definite sign...like an old shoe, as in 'Life of Brian'...'the shoe is the sign'!!

I know many here will be reassured that James is clear on the original plan is going to see it through. Some, of course, won't but changing leaders now would be futile. We have had a setback but that's O&G. We knew porosity would be the major risk factor (we were reasonably confident permability would be solved by mechanical stimulation). We knew porosity figures were much lower than in neighbouring Algeria & that is how it has turned out for this well...but the next one is a huge structural TAGI stratigraphic play...and all is still to play for. I have read extensively on Texas wildcatters and huge fields like East Texas were only discovered after many initial failures...albeit without the aid of modern seismic techniques! Anyway, the team will learn again from a failed well & hopefully it is third time lucky with TE10!

Albus, yes Kelly Sheets was there and he gave an introductory safety speech wellsite. At the risk of repeating myself...I blessed the rig, the well and everything when I threw some drilling salt over my left shoulder...TE9 is coming in!!

Exploration, thanks for posting. I watched that first video & the following (well log interpretation review), which was much more detailed & complex. There is so much that can be determined by using this suite of tools...I am reassured that the inventors of this process are our partners & the ones who are/were carrying out the operation - Schlumberger!

Just as an aside, it made me laugh when I originally watched the film 'Deepwater Horizon' & the Transocean riggers made many a reference to Schlumberger with what came across as genuine Texan attempts to pronounce in French accent...Shlum-bar-je...until one worker got peesed with that and said its Schlumberger...you democrat! That retort was so funny...in my mind - as if the Democrats held the high artistic ground & were to be made the butt of jokes on the oil patch...which of course is staunch Republican territory: a lovely, witty observation & a great film!

Totally with you on that PNE. I started drinking an hour ago & am just about to go out to a restaurant that has only just opened...and it is in my country lane, just a minute walk away - how convenient! We have all crossed the Rubicon with James Ceasar & the 'die has been cast'...no going back now! A definition of that famous Seuotonias quote is: 'The future is determined; there are no more options; events will proceed in an irreversible manner; the point of no return has been passed'.

Jamesparsnips, you are spot on...sentiment back then was high and this last year has been very technical behind the scenes but 'front of curtain' has seen little drama for investors to get excited about. But the play has finally begun & the 1st act is working up to a climax. The curtain will soon be falling after the initial action, soon to rise again for the second act. Let's hope for some serious drama in this soon to be, pantomime season.....or maybe just a factual drama about how a junior AIM Explorer opened up a whole new hydrocarbon province in East Morocco!
