Trellis, I too am in need of inspiration since I returned from Dartmoor yesterday - so I might just pick up an old book I have been meaning to read for ages: 'DISCOVERY! The Search for Arabian Oil', by Pulitzer winning author Wallace Stegner. I feel it could be very poignant & relevant reading about a classic search for hydrocarbons in a desert climate - especially without the modern seismic techniques we are able to employ today. I will be reading about dusters before I get to the huge gushers that came to be world famous...now that could be just the inspiration I need before our 2nd well spuds, leading to an initial result in January!! The only trouble is the Saudi prize eluded American oil drillers for 5 years...but that was back in the 30s & times & technology have changed much since then...but I guess we still need some good old Wildcatter luck. Let's see if Brian Michener's perseverance will pay off like it did to head Geologist Max Steineke, whose belief never wavered in the Damman no.7 area. Will Tendrara ultimately prove successful for Brian & the team: after two failed attempts will it be third time lucky!

Eric, some very patient and long term Sound shareholders did very well. The very best of luck to all Predator shareholders on your entry into East Morocco - enjoy the journey - I did and am continuing to do so with Sound Energy!

Keeptothefacts, whatever you think about Fellrunner he created/creates debate. He often prods at running sores and investers feel the pain and need to retaliate. I don't know if he has an agenda...I thought he was a shareholder. But a line was crossed and like Caesar & the Rubicon...there is no going back! In the words of the -4th Century Poet, Omar Khayyam.................

Fatty, Sound are trying to prove up a hydrocarbon province whilst at the same time create shareholder value...the two sadly are not always mutually exclusive because of the inherent risks involved! You can have it both ways but not all the time. You have to take the failures along with the successes...and the odds are the sucesses are one in three. We have had two failed wells...third time luckier!

Whilst I have enjoyed Fellrunner's posts in the past I can't forgive him for that prison remark sparking all those humorous book title posts: they were funny but he most definitely was not. Posters like him provide valuable oversight and can help bring the euphoria down to manageable levels...but they can also over-reach the boundaries of what is considered acceptable I sincerely hope we do not sink to that kind of depravity again. Anyhow, it is amusing how a decent little rise in the share price cheers the whole place up - as if the sun has just risen scaring the bloodsuckers back to their coffins: in the words of the excellent song, 'Bella Lugosi is Dead": "The bats have left the bell tower, the victims have been bled"..........

Frank, $30 million was mentioned by CFO JJ at the recent Fireside Chat. Still on track to finance the remaining two wells but did reserve the right to raise more (they always say that)...but for what remains to be talked about, maybe at the Conference Call.

Frank, you certainly weren't the only one that ended up disliking it as it left a bad taste in the mouth for some...but it was a case of 'needs must' & we needed something different in the way of financing.

Obviously Kerry should read Gerry, as in previous CEO Gerry Orbell.

Frank, but from a long term holders perspective many here had almost been wiped out by huge back-to-back placements under Kerry's tenure so when Continental were introduced to us the warrants and loans felt like a whole new innovative way of financing the company, without the immediate prospect of drowning under another wave of placements. Sure Marco and 'friend's were in it to make money whilst minimising their risks but you get nothing for nothing on AIM. I saw it for what it was when we seemed in dire straights and needed money & I for one was very grateful for their investment.

PEN, yes it puts me in mind of when I have been strolling in the Downland woodland and suddenly hear a pack of baying dogs...its prety bloodcurdling when your mind is away with the surrounding beauty and then you realise some inocent animal is about to be hunted down and torn apart.......a spectical I had hoped I would never witness................

Joe, the Board are probably still recovering from all the insults and accusations that have been hurled at them. Besides, we have just had that FSC where there was a Chanel for communication. Maybe they now feel Twitter posts would be unnecessarily subjecting them to further invective. They probably just want to get their heads down and get on with the job with no distractions. RNSs will probably suffice for now.

Retour, you are out of order with that comment. Also, people that write comments about CEOs writing books in prison should also be ashamed of themselves. What has this place come to. People losing their nerve after one failed well are in the wrong place...try the footsie 100 instead next time!

I'm just amazed at the nasty group mentality that has overtaken this board. It puts me in mind of the William Golding novel 'Lord of the Flies, whereby a group of children who don't know each other are marooned on a desert island. The book portrays their descent into savagery; left to themselves and far from civilization, the well educated children regress to a primitive state...count me out but I won't descend into that primeval behaviour.

I am glad the book posts have been removed. They may have been amusing but the Malicious intent no doubt behind a few was not. We are all invested in an AIM Company...there are many here with previous experience that should know better than to descend into barbarity; to those with no experience, I sympathise, but AIM stands for 'Alternative Investment Market...the first word should have given a clue as to the nature of what you were getting into. It is 'alternative' and therefore not mainstream or regular. Life is a lesson and AIM is often a tough mistress! I knew what I was getting into and I am still very much excited by our prospects....and very appreciative of our Company's efforts to date. Now is the time to back Sound Energy or sell up and cut your losses! But personal attacks should be left to that desert island mentality that takes over when anonymous posters feel freed from the mormal bounds of civilized behaviour.

Then why not try a green power company like the hugely exciting PHE. My French buddy (who accompanied me to Morocco) has been raving about them and of course those who cannot accept the risks involved in E&P might find them more to their risk/reward liking.

Jez, the only thing around here is granite and peat bog...cant imagine any dericks drilling up here. But Tendrara is also a wilderness on another scale....I can imagine drilling because I have witnessed it twice and I can imagine large amounts of gas on this huge license...it is there - we just have to find it!

Luckman,, thanks. I had an exhausting hike up on Dartmoor. Attempting to find a track is impossible so avoiding the bogis and boulders becomes the challenge. Anyway, I didn't think about Sound as too busy trying to navigate.........

But now I wish I hadn't bothered. I am currently just behind the Dartmoor Inn looking over to Widgery Cross, my walking destination. After that on to Great Links Tor and back to the car park.If I think about Sound Energy my thoughts will be positive...I don't want any negative thoughts in my mind whilst I am wondering through this beautiful wilderness. I trust James, Brian, Richard (with Schlumberger) to do their very utmost to protect shareholder value, interests and capital!
