My view is that if they have any information either positive or negative then this needs to be released to the market. This has been a leaky ship in the past so lets try and make it a level playing field.
LSE doesn't like symbols!
I suspect a sell off today, and a buy back in early January ahead of testing.
I don't recall a date or timeline they have ever hit (timelines set by them!) - yes, always mitigating circumstances, but it just feeds the uncertainty.
Looking forward to Q1 2024!
Yes Ches....22 days after they said they had commenced testing...buried at the bottom of an RNS to update the market on TT
No matter how much people spin it...no matter how many moving parts...no matter how "fluid" the situation is...waiting 22 days to update the market on something that is clearly price sensitive information is poor, to put it mildly.
For the avoidance of doubt, executing the rigless testing programme onshore Morocco remains our top priority together with moving to a CNG development subject to regulatory approvals. Everything is in place and all approvals have been received to commence testing. One final element in relation to our business development strategy for Morocco is the execution of a potential Memorandum of Understanding for gas sales. Our preference is for commercial reasons to have this in place before testing commences and we are working to finalise this as soon as possible."
"everything is in place" - Define please? the equipment? approvals? the teams to carry out the rigless testing? The team sat twiddling their thumbs getting paid?
"One final element in relation to our business development strategy for Morocco is the execution of a potential Memorandum of Understanding for gas sales." - When was it decided that MoU was the final element of the business development strategy? If it was all part of the plan all along then why not put the MoU in place before announcing testing will commence on 16th October? the answer is, it wasn't part of the plan. The plan changed between issuing the RNS stating testing will commence on 16th October and some time after that, but not 22 days after that surely?!?!?
What's the buzz word? The business needs to be "fluid" - no problem with that. But stop with the bull and making things up as you write your RNS's whilst tucking in to your Corn Flakes
The point of my shareholders is totally missed. PRD said this:
"Rigless testing MOU-3 using conventional perforating guns is currently forecast to begin on or before 16 October 2023, assuming that the wireline logging unit is released from its present contract on or before 10 October 2023. The Company will provide an update if there is any change to this date."
So on the 16th October they new they hadn't commenced testing. So at that point, given what was said in the RNS, they should have informed the market. BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY WOULD!
As i said previously, PRD is a listed company and regulated. You can't pick and choose what information you will share and when you want to share it. Not commencing the testing was price sensitive information and the market should have been told.
You want the benefit of being listed for all the good reasons. But the annoying bit as you have to follow the rules and get the admin right.
The point is. The last paragraph is price sensitive information. they said they would start testing on 16th October, and if this date changed, they will tell the market. they knew this 22 today's ago and decided to bury it at the bottom of an RNS regarding something completely different.
You can call shareholders' "inbreds" but the fact of the matter is, information was withheld. PRD isn't a soletrader. it is a listed company and is regulated.
This is what they said:
Rigless testing MOU-3 using conventional perforating guns is currently forecast to begin on or before 16 October 2023, assuming that the wireline logging unit is released from its present contract on or before 10 October 2023. The Company will provide an update if there is any change to this date.
22 days later telling the market that despite the RNS above...the testing hasn't started. disgraceful.
Absolute joke.

Too many times this has happened...Paul's middle name is ambiguous
